When I saw the title I was excited but I'm pretty disappointed by the look on these. I was hoping for an atomic purple style transparent case but these look flimsy and plasticky in a way that is a turnoff. Plus something about using transparent buttons comes off as cheap.
I'm sure this will still sell out in about 12 seconds but it's not for me.

Yeah they look cheap to me as well. They’re quickly overstaying their welcome with these highly limited releases etc.
Shipping is pretty high. These things were an easy 150-200 flip. Now they’re saturating the market with tons of them so I don’t know if you’d be able to move them.

The colors add zero value. Not to mention, those of us who pre-ordered had to wait a year+ or those who paid $600 in the aftermarket, now you can just order and they ship within 2 weeks

yea, I like the products, but I don't love their business practices. The ridiculous shipping costs, the long wait to receive product, the clearly artificial scarcity...They are one R&D division (I think it's just Kevtris and one other guy) away from being LRG.

Nah, don't care about these at all. At least the glow in the dark version was novel.
I'll start paying attention if they refresh with a horizontal form factor like the original GBA.

Oh yeah the OG GBA form factor would be in instabuy - especially if it was sold in Glacier.
Also if they released the GameCube's Indigo or Spice Orange i'd be interested as well. These translucent ones look like someone bought a transparent shell off of AliBaba.

The green one looks pretty nice with their photo lighting. Probably wouldn't look nearly as cool in everyday light though

I won't be getting. I'm happy with the White Pocket I do have, although I haven't been using it as much within the last year. These limited edition releases/colors are just geared toward fomo-addicts.

They made a product that a lot of people really want. It apparently plays all your old game boy games as good or better than on original hardware.
And with the cost of original hardware getting up there (not to mention the age/wear and tear), I can see why so many people are into these.

No, they are not limited to anything. Nothing is keeping them from churning out more units of any of their hardware...except for themselves. And the only reason I can think of is to artificially inflate the demand.
Is there risk to overproduce? Sure. So why not take pre-orders, fulfilled those orders then do another batch of pre-orders.
At this time, they still owe me Pocket Cart Adapter set pre-order, Duo pre-order, but instead they are milking candy color shelled Pockets? If their resources are truly limited...then this shouldn't be what they are selling right now.
Fulfill your pre-orders first.
