Getting stuck in an offer when editing

I've noticed this before, just happened again.

When using the mobile site, if you want to edit the offer by going to the settings page (through the link offered on the offer), it takes you back to the trade settings, but you get stuck there. Any time you confirm any changes (or none) it loops back to the same page.

Simply backing out fixes the problem.

So, you're in the process of creating a new offer. You fill in the first page, then click "continue" to go to a confirmation page. Then it says, "Does this look correct?", including showing you your mailing address. Then it says, "If this isn't correct, please fix it on the [Settings Page]" (a button). If you click that button, it sends you off to the Settings page where there's no navigation on-site to get you back to the offer you started.

Note that there is also a "[This is Correct, Submit This Offer]" (button) and a "[No, Go Back]" button as well at the bottom of the offer confirmation page.

Is part of what you're saying that the "If this isn't correct, please fix it on the [Settings Page]" part after the address is shown isn't clear that it's just for changing your address in the offer settings? Maybe you thought it would just go back to the first page of the new offer to let you edit it (as [No, Go Back] does?) I could see that. The non-mobile site is more clear about that, I think. I could try to improve that to make it more clear for the mobile site.

Basically, using the Settings page link to edit your mailing address is rare and disruptive. I don't have a way to get you back to the offer you started once you do that. Though, the browser's back feature should work, as you said. But, it is really important to get your mailing address correct before submitting the offer. So, I have that there, despite the ugliness. Given the way the mobile site works, the button to go to Settings is more emphasized (or the same as all the other buttons) than it is on the non-mobile site. So, I could see it causing some confusion.

I just changed the offer creation confirmation page to try to address this.

The button that goes to the Offer Settings page is now a [link] -- the idea here is to de-emphasize it such that it won't be clicked by accident.

Also, I improved the wording. It looks like this now (on mobile an other layouts):

"If your address isn't correct, please fix it on the [Offer Settings Page], then use your browser's [back] feature to return here."
