Anyone know with Prime Gaming when they offer Steam games, are they steam keys or do you have to play them through Amazons service? (If that makes sense)

They very rarely have steam games - occasionally GOG and EGS but those are connected accounts if I recall correctly

I've never seen Steam games offered. Usually, they are available through Amazon's Prime Gaming launcher, but they do occasionally have other offerings. I've seen Epic Games and GOG games offered, through a linked account. They've also given away some Origin codes in the past. It's possible they offered up Steam games at some point, and I just wasn't using it at the time.

Yup, my son is having a blast playing the game. I played two days in the 30's and also enjoyed how insane it was.
