This was probably posted in the past, but what movies do you find are VERY similar to each other?
I'll go with a few that come to my mind...
Battleship and Pacific Rim - Both involve alien invaders, battles at sea and the main character losing his brother in combat but also being the integral device that stops humanity's extinction.
Die Hard - Obviously created many clones, some good and some not so
Olympus has Fallen and WHite House DOwn - Obviously involve an attack on the American president's headquarters, with a US agent who was refused entry into the Secret Service going on a one-man war against the enemies. Also Die Hard in the White House
You're Next and Hush - Both involve 'DIe Hard' in a home invasion, with killers not knowing that they're up against a lethal character and they also share many similarities (blood used to write a taunting message, a crossbow is used in both films, the main character gets her leg badly hurt, the power is shut down, all connection to phones is cut and there's more)
12 Rounds and Die Hard 3 - Both involve the main character being forced to complete different challenges and also finding that the bad guy actually distracted the authorities to achieve a larger goal than simplt surviving challenges, in both cases the villain is trying to steal massive amounts of cash or gold. Villian is also killed by explosions in both stories. Trivia: Die Hard 2 and 12 Rounds were both directed by Renny Harlin
Armegeddon and The Core - See also disaster films of the 1990's (Deep Impact etc). Both involve astronauts travelling outside the earth to stop doomsday, one character is forced to sacrifice himself in both films, a secondary protocol is attempted but this will still cause doomsday, a nuclear device is used to save the earth in both stories, the world somehows knows about the plan in both stories
Lords of the Deep, Leviathan, Deepstar 6 - An undersea expedition team unknowingly releases a monster from the depths. See also The Abyss

Watch the John Wayne movies Rio Bravo and El Dorado.
Aeon Flux and Ultraviolet also looked very similar to me.

Like Finn listed, there are tons of clones and ripoffs that got made to release just prior to the original film in hopes people will be confused and pay for theirs by mistake. Like kids saying they wanted to see the bug movie (A Bug's Life) and at the theater the parents figured it was Antz.
I remember there was a War for the Worlds (or something) with nearly the same artwork for Spielberg's War of the Worlds.
The list of movies that are similar but completely unintentional is prob rather small.

Wyatt Earp and Tombstone.
Hollywood film companies are notorious for making competing similar films at the same time. It often becomes a race to release first.

My daughter and I were talking earlier today about movies and I realized another set of similar movies: Bird Box and A Quiet Place.

I think of clone movies as two movies made by different studios with overlapping productions and similar release windows. Movies with the same general story so close together you know there were spies at one of the studios. It always feels like one was rushed to try and beat the other to theaters.
Armageddon and Deep Impact was the first to come to mind.

'Armageddon and Deep Impact was the first to come to mind.'
exactly what i thought too, except maybe they don't have to have similar release windows but yet they also share many recurring themes?

I remember when Dante's Peak and Volcano came out around the same time. At the time, I thought it was strange that we were getting two volcano movies.
