What's up! So I have been having this issue for a while now, it's very strange, and I figured I'd check if the GTZ community has any input. So I have a Vizio smart TV up in my bedroom, with an LG soundbar that was previously being used in the living room with no issues (on a different TV). So my issue is I get sound from YouTube, but no sound from Amazon Video or Hulu. What makes it even more strange is sound works when I watch live TV on YouTube TV, but if I try to watch a movie on YouTube TV, no sound!!
So no only is it intermittent between apps, it's also happening in the same app. Anyone ever see any craziness like this?

It sounds like the output settings are having a conflict with your TV's output settings and your TV may be over-riding it to provide optimal output for certain apps. I'd check the TV's audio settings to make sure they're set to auto.

So I've tried that, no change. I have it setup using eARC because I don't have the remote for the soundbar, so I was using the TV remote for audio control over ARC. I have found that if I remove HDMI and use an optical cable, everything works fine, but I don't have any way to control volume this way. I tried another HDMI cable using eARC and no change.
Seems like it's some kind of conflict with ARC.

Ah, ok. It's possible there is some sort of compatibility issue between LG and Vizio for this feature or a buggy Vizio audio return feature, but I think I'd still want to try the easy stuff first.
Option 1:
1) Factory reset on the TV to original settings
2) Make sure sound for channel settings on the TV is set to standard - not enhanced.
3) If this doesn't work, then you have option 2.
Option 2:
Buy a cheap universal remote or try to find a compatible LG remote for your sound bar and switch to optical.
