Awhile back we had some crazy wind here. One day the powering flickered many times. So I went out to look around and one of the power polls snapped. Somehow it landed in a fashion that I still have power. Currently waiting on them to come out and replace it.

Internal backup memory card - Built-in, full size, backup memory card installed in the system. Auto detects when a 4mb ram cart is inserted or another memory card is present in the cart slot. If this is something you might be interested in, let me know. Ideally the original creator is working on an internal modification that includes a memory card and 4mb ram expansion. The problem is that it looks like the prototype is not auto switching, so you would have to install a switch to disable one or the other as needed. That would render the cart slot pretty much void, as the pins are quite temperamental after time.

This would be my preferred setup

-Region Free Bios
-Fram mod
-Internal memory mod (hopefully internal 4mb ram in the near future)
-Phantom chip
-Satiator

Best of both worlds, disc and SD options at the same time. I know the PseudoSaturn covers a lot of bases, but I prefer to keep that cart slot empty until absolutely necessary.

@Gypsy Yeah, the weather was pretty wild for a solid week and a half. Not enough to scare the racoons out of the cypress, but enough to lean the tree slightly over the house, lol. I got quotes for tree removal ranging from 2000-8500 for one darn tree. Granted, it is about 50 feet tall.

The cypress tree came down in 5 fairly large pieces. $650 DIY project. Scary as heck though, when a mistake will cost you your roof and make you feel like an idiot. Thanks to everyone that bought something to help with the project. No raccoons were harmed. It appears they left the day before when I was trimming the lower portion of the tree.

If anyone is having issues with their Saturn, I'm happy to help troubleshoot. I'm not an expert, but have worked on them for the past 2 years, so I've encountered most of the common problems.

Also, tiny update. Not terribly exciting, because I don't know if it's gonna work yet, lol. The pcbs just arrived for the internal memory card mod. Gonna make my first attempt tonight or tomorrow. If it is successful, I should be able to provide this service as well. Fingers crossed.

Attention all Saturn fans! I got the internal memory card mod working. Pictures available in the two links below. First link is solely my post. 2nd link has all the information to do this project for yourself. I will be offering it as a service for anyone that is interested.

This mod would be ideal for users that play games that take up a lot of memory, sports, rpgs, racing (ghost replays), that would like direct saving. If you plan on having a PseudoSaturn or Action Replay plugged in at all times, then this mod would not be recommended, as the system can only access one at a time. The mod does automatically detect when an external cart is plugged in, and will disable the internal memory card and switch to the external cart. It may still be a relevant mod for those that are using Fenrir, Phoebe, and Satiator as well.

As mentioned before, the ideal hardware, non ODE set up would have the following:
1. Fram memory upgrade
2. Internal memory card mod
3. Region free bios
4. Phantom chip (to play the fan translations)

This would enable a clean no cart on top look. If anyone is intrigued or has any questions, let me know.

Will be receiving some model 1 and 2 Japanese V/Victor consoles in a few weeks in case anyone is searching for a different color scheme.
