To add context to this post: it's a Walmart POS block markdown occurring on the 22nd. If you find a copy you likely will not be able to purchase it.

Yeah this is not a deal. It even states in the link that the system will block sale like Orlandu stated.
Very misleading title and post
I expect better from you mrbean 😆

To be fair, though, Walmart is very random with this. I've yet to see a 3 cent game, but I have gotten a couple other items from the clearance aisle that were priced at 3 cents.

Haha fair, but even the post states you may get lucky. Who knows. Still, click bait, GTZ style!

Best Buy would do this with strategy guides - .01 them and they were advised to throw them away. I found a few stores that would put them away for me and scored quite a few. Gave them out here for shipping mostly. Definitely worth looking into this if you have a store that tends to be flexible.

I think it's a little different in this case. That memo indicates they won't be charged for destroyed inventory, so every copy they sell st $0.03 would be a loss for the store at whatever wholesale rate they pay.

Sorry for the bump, but I expect these copies to flood ebay, Goodwill, and other liquidation stores soon enough.
I've noticed that a lot of flea market sellers here in SoCal have gotten what is very obviously DVDs and games that were discarded by Walmart in a similar way. Some even had the yellow discard sticker on them.
I'd keep an eye out, you might get lucky if your store was just too lazy to destroy them.

I was at a Walmart today that had Starfield standard for $69, Digital upgrade for $30 and special edition for $100. I had them scan all three and no markdowns for any.
