I've had a Duelist for quite a while now, and I really like it. I actually used it just 2 weeks ago for a few rounds of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

How is the weight compared to the GameCube controller?

Quite a bit lighter. I'd compare the weight to that of an xbox one controller with no batteries.

I find that replacement controllers can sometimes be too light, in a distracting way.

They usually feel cheap when you’re saying they’re too light. I want my controllers to have some heft to them, like the Xbox Elites. Make all the controllers substantial.

That's fair. I don't think the Duelist feels cheap, just light, but I totally get what you're saying and agree more weight is usually better.

For $10 the duelist is amazing as a backup controller for multi-player or when recharging others. wink

I’m glad that it doesn’t feel cheap. You’re right that cheap and light can be two separate things and I’m glad that seems to be the case here.

The GameCube controller had great heft to it. A replacement I tried for it, not so much.

When I think of light controllers I think of cheap controllers. There was a PS1 Mad Catz controller I had as a kid that was both cheap and light and it had like 2/3 the length of the PS1 controller length maybe? It was a POS, as was everything Mad Catz put out at that time.

I’m glad this one allegedly isn’t cheap feeling.
