Funny how 1tb is $50, 2tb is $75, but 4tb is $229.
It's like they're saying "here's a discount for 2tb, but if you want 4tb, oh you have to pay extra for that."

Deals like these really make Xbox's choice to use those cards look really stupid. Best price for the 1tb was just available on prime day and was $130 I think.

It's based on the cost / availability of materials for the manufacturer. Also there's the consumer aspect to it, you can't buy 2 of these and out them in a PS5, there's only one slot. I have some older servers at work where we are doing some maintenance and our admin are asking for more RAM - but our slots are all full so we would need to upgrade the current sticks with higher capacity sticks versus just adding more.
