$450 is still too high of a price IMO. $350 would have been the sweet spot for impulse buying.

Having the headset cost more than the console needed to run it, just rubbed me the wrong way from day 1. raspberry

Agreed. I'd like to play this but super low on the priority list.

Even at $350 I wouldn't personally be buying it, but I can see a lot of people impulse purchasing at that price.

I guess if it ever gets a steep discount, or I'm able to find one in a pawn shop, then I'll reconsider laughing out loud

Maaaaan....I'm in the market for a PSVR2 and $450 would've been an instant purchase if this deal was happening anywhere else. Not to sound like one of those people, but I just don't wanna shop at GameStop, and pay for their membership on top of it for something I wouldn't use beyond this purchase (since I'm not already a Pro member, factoring into the cost means i only would've been saving $75).

I'll probably have one in three weeks or less anyway. Between my birthday yesterday and Christmas next week, I expect to have gotten enough in gift cards that will help me save more than the $100 this deal would have.

Sent you a message. I might be able to help since I have Pro. wink

When comparing prices (like vr headsets) you compare against other models/brands,pros/cons,limits and how much you will actually use it.Its just not realistic or fair to compare mid/high lvl VR to a $500 console when a $700-$2000+ PC is needed for other mid/high lvl VR sets.Obviously vr to PC pricing looks more enticing when compared to vr for a $500 console.
It is pricey but the hardware and performence surpasses most if not all $500 price point vr headsets.HOWEVER it is limited to PS5 but to be fair with PSVR2 tech game devs are actually making great fun games for it (with its agreat eye tracking etc) and ofcourse Resident Evil 7 and village is *chefs kiss*.I use it but don't own one personally its pretty amazing though (leaps above VR1) but I just can't afford it now but vr to console cost is not a factor for me atleast.

Now if PSVR2 worked on PC ALSO its a no brainer but until then don't let "they almost cost the same" be the only thing that stops you refund is always option.

For anyone interested there is a group working on this. It's in the very early stages last I heard and requires a specific model of AMD GPU that has a USB-c port.

To be fair, they were able to get the original PSVR working on PC. I'm sure the Homebrew community will eventually get PSVR2 working on PC in some capacity.

Should have been $299, even if it was taking a loss.

They likely would have sold more at that price, and while I did originally roll my eyes at their MSRP for the PSVR2 at launch last year, I definitely don't regret this purchase...yet...I mean I've only had it for about a week but I don't see my mind changing. It's a little under a year old and I think it already has more AAA killer titles than the previous PSVR did in its lifetime.
