So... need help guys/gals. I been out of the loop for quite awhile but one thing I do know and that's PS brand PS4 controllers are hard to find as usual... Seeking out recommendations on which offbrand PS4 controllers work well and are worth it. I've had my fair share of bad offbrands and want to try to avoid it as it's going to be a Christmas gift for my nephew... I'm probably going to end up buying 2 of them.

Official first party PS4 controllers are still being sold in Walmarts.

Check Sony’s website as well and the Bestbuy were I live had plenty of them in the store

I was at Target last night and they had a decent variety of PS4 controllers. More PS4 than PS5 at the location I stopped at, actually. I've also seen them at Walmart within the past month or so, too.

I did manage to find black official PS4 controllers on Walmart's website and at a sale price too.

I'm still curious about the offbrand ones if anyone has any recommendations on those as well.
