Anyone well knowledged in the world of outdoor projectors?

Bought my LG HF80JA Laser in 2019, and I'm feeling the need to upgrade. It's a solid device, but I'd like something better with light, and shorter throw.

We love to setup a big screen and watch movies outside on Friday nights, but typically have to wait quite a bit on the sun.

I recognize natural light is a problem with any projector, much less outdoors! I haven't done any recent homework yet and simply curios if we've made any big strides in this arena without dropping over five grand (effort thus far, appears yeah ... you're still dropping minimum $3k).

I really don't need any built in apps, typically just use a chromecast TV or Fire Stick. I played with all the anker, xgimi's, and others before. They always seemed to try to be everything, but fell short. I like the idea of the all-in-one, if properly executed.

FHD is more than sufficient, UHD would be a bonus pending on the cost. Also don't need built in speakers. Aux out is sufficient as I use dual anker soundcores, unless we've finally fixed Bluetooth audio delay from video sources?

Auto image correction and alignment is a big bonus.

Thanks

Damn, the Anker line has come along way since the originals that I tried!

Gonna test this out - https://www.amazon.c...

Don't think this is the best solution though. Don't think it's gonna be bright enough.

I really like Projector Central for info as a starting point and then Google for live user reviews. Here's a quick search of projectors under 10 pounds, laser light source (should help your brightness issue) and sorted by rating. Don't take the ratings at face value, make sure to read the reviews (which are almost always well written, and updated accordingly):

Edit: I'm super into projectors, but don't have much solid knowledge of portable :(

How "short throw" does it need to be? Like a UST or just not really long?
