Do these go on sale much? Got my 6 year old the starter sets for his bday a couple of weeks ago and now he (I) want to get all the big sets! They're not cheap... Don't know much about the Lego world and if there's typically a sale time, or discounts out there.

They go on clearance at Walmart pretty regularly near me.

We've mostly just gone after the costumes and had trouble finding many of them, but not for too long. But those and other sets we never found on sale, ever.

20% off occasionally per normal sales at Target, Amazon, etc. Some sets hit clearance at Target and Walmart. Some sets recently have hit 50% off at Target, but probably gone by now.

I got my son the Princess Peach starter course for $20 at Costco when they clearanced them out around the holidays. They had so many. I bought a few as gifts.
