Who knows SQL??? Need help

#1 HybridCRoW
Primarily in the PostgreSQL format.
I'm learning SQL and the tutorials I've been given do not make sense or explain how I can do a specific query. It keeps giving me errors... once it was giving me parse errors and I tried to look them up for better understanding and was not getting anything... then I got another error that wasn't a parse when I changed things around and still cannot get the explanation behind the error.
Anyone able to help would be greatly appreciated.

I've worked in SQL Server for most of my career
Lots of similarities, what's the error/query?

Apparently I missed one bit of information in my search for help and I think I got it fixed... Issue is, the tutorials I was given didn't explain the code I used and I need to explain it to the technical interviewer what I learned and not say "I used Google."
I'll PM you the rest.

That's pretty much where I am at... just the basics, but I got the issue figured out.

The assessments are based on "entry level/beginner" stuff... being able to read the information and using it correctly. First was HTML, second was SQL or PostgreSQL, and the 3rd and final assessment I've got is JavaScript with HTML next so it'll be another learning experience and I'm sure I will do well as for the most part I've comprehended everything and I had prior experience w/ HTML from my Angelfire days.

I finally found what I was looking for, made the changes, and ran the code at least 5 times and each time all consistent good results.
Now I'm doing an assessment for JavaScript with HTML. I hope to have it done this weekend.
Thanks to everyone that was able to help.
