Description
This is a great Kenshin game, way better than the fighting one. 
First off, you need to understand that this game starts at the end of the anime series. Everyone is there: Kenshin, Yahiko, Kaoru, Sanosuke, Saitou, and Shinomori. 
The game has a lot to do with a lost ninja boy who has no memory of his past. He bumps into Kenshin and the story goes from there. The game has two playable main characters: Hijiri, a boy, and Hikaru, a girl. They both have different parts to their story, but, aside from those things, they are pretty much the same.
The game's battle system plays out a lot like paper, rock, scissors. There are three different ways you can attack an enemy. The attacks range from low, medium, and high. Depending on your level, you can see the attacks that your enemy will try to use on you. Based on that, you plan your attack. For example, if they are going to attack low, medium, and low again, you are supposed to attack high, low, and high. I know it sounds strange and difficult, but trust me, it's a very easy battle system to get used to. Also, you only have hit points in the menu outside of a battle. In battle, you and your enemies have life meters that look a lot like the life bars in Street Fighter 2. In my personal opinion, it looks great like that.
Now, on to the special attacks.The special attacks are learned three different ways depending on the character. One way that a special attack is learned is by leveling up. Once you reach a certain level, you will automatically learn the special move. For example, say Kenshin is at level 44. Once he gets to level 45, he will learn the Ama Kakeru Ryu no Hirameki, which is the most powerful move he knows.
Another way to learn moves is to train in a dojo. There are a total of five dojos in the game, with each of them being known for different fighting styles. The way you learn moves in the dojo is to talk to the head of the dojo. Then you will select who will train in the dojo and it starts off like a battle. You have to know what that particular dojo specializes in or else it will be a very long time for you to learn their special attack.
The third way to learn a special move (this is basically for Yahiko only) is to have the special move performed on him. Also, just like in the anime, he can learn special moves from Kenshin.
One thing about this game is that there is only one character allowed in a battle at one time, meaning one bad guy and one good guy. But you can always switch anytime you want to. The game kinda reminds you of "Thousand Arms" for PlayStation.
All in all, this is a must play/have for any Kenshin fan out there. I highly recommend this game to anyone that is an RPG fan or an anime fan. If you see it at a great price, pick it up. You won't be disappointed.
