Description

Lufia 2 takes place 100 years before the first game. You play as Maxim, who is a monster hunter from the town of Elcid. For some reason there seems to be more and more monsters appearing. As the towns only hope, Maxinm ventures to the cave of Sundletan to eliminate all the monsters that are inhabiting the cave. Inside the cave Maxim will find something he never imagined would happen. He runs into a mysterious girl who tells him that it is up to him to save the world from evil. Can Maxim do it? It's up to you to control our hero and help save the world in Lufia 2: The Rise Of The Sinistrals!

I had wanted to play this game for a long time. I got to play Lufia and the Fortress of Doom a long time ago but I never got ahold of this game because of it being rare. I was fortunate and found it complete at a store for $40. Well I must tell you that it was definitely worth the money.

Story - 10/10 - Awesome story, but I won't spoil it for you. It will keep you coming back for more.

Graphics 10/10- For SNES, these are awesome graphics. A major upgrade from Lufia 1.

Gameplay- 10/10 - A lot of tricky puzzles that you will need to solve and some challenging battles, but that's what makes an RPG fun.

I recommend getting this game. A lot of people complain that Lufia 1 spoils the ending of Rise of the Sinistrals at the beginning of that game, but it is still very fun to play. It explains a lot about the sinistrals, which is very cool.

Overall- GET THIS GAME!!!

I would advise you not to play this game before you play Lufia and the Fortress of Doom to avoid any spoilers. Once you play this game and go back to Lufia 1, you'll realize how much better the gameplay and graphics are. You would probably become bored with Lufia. You can find this game on eBay or GameTZ if you want it ASAP, but if not, be patient and maybe a friend will have it or you may find it at a flea market or yard sale.

This is my first of many reviews, so don't criticize me too much. I thank all of you for reading this review of Lufia 2: Rise of The Sinistrals and I hope that I did this game justice and gave it the credit it deserves. SNES RPGs are some of the best RPGs ever made, and this is a perfect example of why that is true.
