Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.
Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.
https://youtu.be/30D...
Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?
I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.
Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.
I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.
Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

I haven't found a good way to get rupees legit. This game feels much more stingy than BotW. In lieu of that, use ultra hand to break metal and wood boxes. Villages, ruins, enemy camps. Probably average 2 arrows per with the random 5 arrow drops.

I use my reporter n sign guy rupee and buy all arrows in towns I visit. I try and pass the sign guy but I end up stopping, the food n gift draw me back.
I got to the Light Dragon, and wasted time improving a machine and never made lift off and have not seen it again

I haven't watched too many videos, but I was looking for a good strategy on boosting my battery and this video had a ton of great farming stuff, not just for batteries: https://www.youtube....

@SwiftJAB I have stayed away from them too. I did preorder the hardcover guide, but this video you posted was helpful. Gonna try some of his suggestions. only have extra 1/3 battery so this should help alot. My last build I used the dragon wheels and they used much less juice so been rockin that a couple plays. Love his light suggestion too. I note he did it after saying save autobuild. One of my auto builds built the Korok and Backpack well grabbed the live one close by and he was just shinny green. Reloaded a save before that happened, poor fella. Had to change my favorite, didnt even notice he was on there lol.

So I'm only like less than ten hours in. I keep seeing all these dupe tricks. Even in the patched version but seems way easier on original release. If I delete my digital copy and use the physical, will I be back on 1.1.1? Looks like my digital copy is updated.
Over the summer I just don't have the time to play this. I am OK with exploiting the dupes as I've read it becomes very grindy without it.

I dont think the dupes is necessary unless you want to experiment with builds and time is already limited and you have watched online videos just rock the 2 fan build and roll out and enjoy the game.
I duped diamonds, rubies and large charges. Only sold about 5 diamonds to buy outfits but now have more diamonds than I had. Used at least 10 Large Charges and have under 50 of those but I dont experiment post dupe. Duping Rubies was a waste but it was what I had at the time. After exploring the depths more and understanding charges (more battery) Everything you need is in the depths no dupes needed for that part.
It is your game, play how you want, only experience it once.

There are many dupes. The easiest one imo got patched out, but there are still dupes.

I tried this one last night and it worked like a charm! I did it to sell diamonds and make some money. The only thing is that you really need to use this particular duplication method in Tarrey Town because it involves fusing items to weapons and the only way to unfuse them without destroying anything is to have a Goron in Tarrey Town pull them apart for you.

My goodness... unlocking the underground map is a chore. Not quite 50% there. I've lost probably 6 fan bikes.

My understanding is that, when you launch the game, it's going to look at what version your latest save is on. If that version is later than whatever is installed on that system, it's going to force you to update.

He's not on the old version anymore. He said his digital copy is updated. So even if he deletes that and switches to a physical copy on v1.1.1, it won't let him play until he updates to the latest version. Staying offline only helps to prevent from updating to 1.1.2 in the first place, but once you've updated, there's no going back. Unless you start over on the system with 1.1.1, I guess.

Thanks to @MrBean we have Tears of the Kingdom now! Yay :)
So I've been playing it and got the first 4 shrines, then ended up in the area around Woodland Stable, then finally to Hyrule Castle Ruins area. Trying to find my old pal Botrick for a much needed hug. What's the best way to get to the Outskirt Stable/Satori Mountain area?

Just beat...
...the Phantom Ganon underneath the Deku Tree. I attempted to a few times but kept getting bodied, so changed up my technique. Up until this point, I very rarely used my shield. I don't know why, for TotK I've been focusing on two handed weapons so the shield takes the back seat, but it's really necessary against Phantom Ganon here. It actually makes the fight a bit of a cakewalk when you use it. I was surprised how easily he was beaten once I started actually defending haha
Now it's onto regaining the Master Sword and then plowing through a bunch of side quests before I move toward the end game of the story.

I've found myself using my shield more than ever in this game. It helps that I usually having something fun fused to it. I know this isn't combat related, but anytime I find a rocket or bomb barrel lying around that I don't need, I'll fuse them to a shield for an easy height boost. I've also been shield surfing way more than I did in BotW. But for combat, I think it might be because the enemies are so much stronger than before, but I have really focused on blocking, parrying, and flurry rushes way more than I did before.
theJaw, I fought one of those guys in The Depths. It came out of the gloom arms (whatever it's called) that attack you. I don't know if it's the same type of boss that you're referring to. I found him to be very easy, although the gloom arms give me a really hard time. I don't know if there is a trick to them, but they kick my ass every time. I usually run away.
