Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.
Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.
https://youtu.be/30D...
Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?
I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.
Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.
I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.
Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

GameStop doesn't open till 12pm now!? Jesus. I bet I'm gonna lose out on those wooden plaques too, being that they had the midnight release. I have 4 copies prebought from them too (online), gonna be salty If I miss out on that one too! Looks like the damn target hip pack thing is already selling for ~$50, f that.

Omw to GameStop now to be let down and ultimately have to pay scalper prices. Just dropped $40 on the damn Target stupid ass thing that I absolutely don't need and will be shoved into a corner, soon to be forgotten about, and serve zero purpose ever.

Well I'll be damned I got one at gamestop. But they're pretty salty because they had 70 in store prebuys and they only got 40 wooden plaques and they've already had five other people come in with online orders that are looking for their plaque. GameStop totally should have shipped them with the pre buys because ultimately people will get screwed here.

I got mine and my son's copies from Target. I was worried they'd only give me one fanny pack since the fine print technically said 1 "per customer" and it was just me buying both copies, but the guy gave me 2 of them without me even having to ask. A good friend of mine really wanted one and wasn't able to get it. He had already paid $40 on Ebay to get the wooden plaque, so I told him I'd give him my extra fanny pack.
I was able to walk into Gamestop right when they opened at 10 and get my wooden plaque just by showing them my online order confirmation for my CE. It looks pretty nice, can't wait to display it in my game room! I also got the art print from Best Buy, it looks nice as well.
REALLY wish I could have gotten the wall scroll from Walmart though. That was the best pre-order bonus by far, IMO. I was dealing with a bad back injury all through April and was pretty much in a fog the whole time, so I completely missed the notifications when it was available.

@MrBean Glad you were able to get the plaque! You're right, it's really dumb how they handled that.

I kinda wish I had picked up the pro controller. It was just too hard to justify $75 for a controller I'm not even going to use.

Honestly? They're all pretty lackluster. The Walmart wall scroll will probably be the best one but they haven't arrived yet.
Ultimately my favorite item will be the fact that this is a Time to come to grips with the fact that my sister is no longer here as this was one of her favorite things in life. There was an earlier Post in this thread about this topic and I've honestly been dreading playing this game because I know what it's going to do to me, but I think this will be a healthy dose of reality to in my own way connect with her while playing.
My other sister, the younger of the two, has already asked me to be there for her while she plays she lives out of state. They used to collaborate on breath of the wild all the time and she's having a hard time with the fact that this game came out too because of the same situation. We're both having to deal with the fact that we don't have our sister here to enjoy this with. gosh darn it I'm on the road and I'm getting super f** emotional just doing voice to text on this time to bail!

This reads like an undiagnosed disease of some sort to me.

I'm 5 hours in. Really enjoying it. Haven't played a "dungeon" yet, but done many other things. Very much BotW's sequel, so if you liked that you should like this. Only complaints so far is not a fan of the new tower system, the controls aren't the most intuitive, and a lot of bugs for a Zelda game, but it's launch day and the game is massive with new sandbox elements so that's to be expected.
This is the game they wanted Skyward Sword to be.

I got the gold one coming this afternoon. I like the look of the black one better, but the gold is more limited. I'm guessing it's tiny. Not sure what I'm doing with it at the moment.

I view it that if buying something gives a person some happiness/excitement, and that person can afford it, and it doesn't come at the expense of their family, go for it. Treat yourself.
Maybe the main use of the item, even if you don't use it, is to get you excited for it in the first place, get some happiness from it.
That's my take on it. All those things you bought, if it made you happy/excited, then it was worth it.
