Wii Remote and Nunchuk are implemented well enough, but they are definitely a tacked-on experience.

plus it's mirrored on Wii I hear. Still if you consider how expensive it is on cube and cheap for Wii. I'd get it for wii. I'm personally waiting for a switch remaster. If it never comes, I'll just get it for Wii.

Though on the flip side, I'm hearing great things about the Metroid Prime remaster for the Switch, and that was also a GC release.
I wonder which games are especially fun on the Wii, more so than on other systems, simply because of the nunchuk wiimote usage.

Link is a lefty, traditionally.
On the Wii version, they made him right handed to match how the majority of people would use the wii remote.
Doing that might impact how some areas play out (if you are on a narrow mountain pass, you might free be able to swing a sword on your left side, but not the right side because mountain is in the way), so they left/right flipped the whole game world.
Either that or it was easier to flip everything than to reprogram only Link.

I remember going to Best Buy a few weeks after the Wii came out when we heard a rumor of a re-stock. Sure enough, there was a line when we went before opening. We managed to get one, but forgot to grab Twilight Princess, which was just on the shelf. My brother and I were able to get a copy, but our friend wasn't able to at first because all the copies were gone, but then some lady put one back and he snapped that one up.

The Metroid Prime Remaster improved controls by giving the option for modern controls, but kept the options for classic and motion based. I don't recall many options in TP Wii. That said, the Wii version is fine to play. In some areas it's better than the GC version imo, in others not so much. Similar to BotW with Wii U and Switch.
Play it however you can for what you can afford if you want.

I'm finally playing Twilight Princess (HD). I played it once a long time ago on Gamecube but didn't make it super far before giving up on it. It was just during a weird time period of gaming for me, and I wasn't in the right mood to fully enjoy and appreciate it. So far, it's pretty awesome! I love that it has the graphic style of OoT, only much better. I'm not too far into it yet, but it's really looking like this is going to beat OoT for me. It just seems like it's going to be better all around.
I remember being giddy the first time I played TP, but I think it gets a bit tedious. It doesn't hold a candle to OoT in the long run.

You know how in a mirror you're not really seeing what you look like. because you see your right eye on the right, but when you take a picture you see it as other people see you. With your right eye on their left. Basically they "FLIPPED" the entire game. Everything is left is right, and right is left. If link had to make a right turn in the woods, it would be a left turn in the wii version.
yep and as was explained above, they did it bc link has always been left handed. But since the majority of ppl are right handed they mirrored it for the wii since people would hold the wiimote with their right hand. Which would feel weird seeing link hold the sword with his left. I though I'd just add my thoughts on this topic even though it was already answered.

I wonder if people who played the original
version noticed the change on the
version. It's the kind of thing that might slip below the radar for some.

If they bought the official guide they sure noticed. All the maps would have been backwards compared to the game

I'll definitely report back once I've finished the whole game. I'll be honest, I don't LOVE the wolf sections. They're ok, but I'd much rather just play as Link in the Twilight Realm.
