So have any of you guys had regret buying something due to its price, but really wanted it?

I thought I preordered trails of azure ps4 limited edition, guess I never did, well it sells for 200+ now, I just bought it a few min ago, but felt like I shouldn’t have but really wanted it lol, I’m torn right now.

Tons of stuff sadly. Some food items, some electronics. Things I regret and the same time don't. Probably my Quest 2. Had tons of usage but sold it. I don't really have regrets on the price paid for it more of the usage I get out of it. For example, my Series X I bought on launch only had 4-5 hours of usage which I sold at cost. Smartwatch but I paid $3 for it had some regrets but nothing major. I really research my more expensive purchases. $500+ and game wise I know what I will like and have avenues to get it cheap.

Does a $5k stock course that I never really used count? I went to this 2day intro to stocks course and really liked it, then they offered this $5k up-sale and I got hooked for whatever reason... It granted 1 year access that I just didn't use. So stupid.

I once spent $400 on a full size pool table. Was not a smart purchase. We didn't have an ideal space for it. I knew this, but couldn't resist. I had to put it in a small room and as a result only had access to 2/4 of the sides of the table. That did give me plenty of angle shot practice though 😄

It was a fun purchase, but definitely not practical. I then had it in storage for a few years before selling it locally.

I bought a cart only copy of Rendering Ranger from an eBay auction for around $650. Got burned on the currency exchange (learn from my mistake, go thru your bank or credit card co. instead of PayPal!) and it ended up being closer to $700.

I play the crap out of that game and have it in a nice lil display. Have gotten as good as a 2 credit clear, I'll probably do it in one credit eventually.

Was it a stupid purchase? 100% yes. Would I buy it again? 100% yes

I gradually pieced together the Limited Edition copy of Pandora's Tower (Wii). The steelbook case alone was $52 in 2015, and the other pieces weren't much cheaper years later. I even ended up buying multiple copies of the game: one North American to discover I loved the game, one PAL to round out the LE package, and one downloaded on Wii U in hopes that they patched out the infamous Blacklight Barbican glitch (they didn't). I love the game too much to really care how much I ended up spending over the years. If it helps any, every box included in the LE has different art, so you can put all of them side by side and they don't look redundant.

It's my third-favorite game of all time, so yes, it's excellent! I've beaten it at least four times, closer to five. Definitely keep a lookout for it at garage sales or on auction sites. You won't regret trying it if you can stomach some monster gore and a tormented, cursed lady. It leaves a real impression on everyone who plays it, even if they don't love it.

On the super off chance that I find Pandora's Tower at a yard/garage sale, I'll try to send you some cookies from Amazon (that is, if you want cookies).

You likely won't find much more than Wii Play and Mario Galaxy, but you never know. I just recently got five $15-30 Wii games for a total of $15, so anything's possible if you look in the right places.

If you find Pandora's Tower, I'll gladly take a few Keebler fudge stripes. I'm holding you to this promise, matey.

I really hope I find the game at a yard sale, for the humor of actually sending you the cookies.

Went to Bestbuy last Friday and low and behold they had a Zelda Switch in stock. Didn’t need it at all but bought it. It sat there until Sunday while I waited on a screen protector. So I regretted but now I am happy and played it at work yesterday. Played a little bit of ToTK tonight but I am waiting on my Special Edition of the game game to come in to really dig into it. Plus I didn’t want to spoil myself really. Seeing it run at 60fps was nice though.

I bought the Splatoon 3 Switch Pro Controller with the intention of phasing out the Splatoon 2 controller I’d been using since 2017. But when I got home with the new controller, I instinctively just picked up my Splatoon 2 controller and played Splatoon 3. The new controller is still boxed in my room, waiting for my other controller to become unusable so I’ll actually unbox it.

It runs well with the 60 fps mod. But I am not interested in playing it anywhere but on Switch. I do think that thanks to Monolift Soft I am pretty sure it will at least run as well as XBC3 which is a very good use of the Switch and upscaling technology. Run it at base without mods it looks really good.

This always happens with major switch titles, xenoblade 3 comes to mind
