Hey folks. So it seems I’m gonna have to pack up the collection for a good while and I’d like to find some heavy duty bins for my stuff. I have several console boxes so I’ll need at least one large one and I can put the games in multiple smaller ones. What are the best bins for retro stuff? I’d like for it to be protected from any kind of moisture that could get in and be very secure. Thanks in advance for the help!

Thanks. I’ll look into those. Do you have some of them? They don’t look very thick.

I do have them. They are thick if you have a home depot near by you should go check them out in store. You can also stack them on each other and they are big enough to pad with bubble wrap for expensive items.

My house will work as well ;)
But honestly, the one Boss linked is what I see everywhere. Inside various locations, I visit for work, on the road on the back of trailers, etc. They’re always fully intact when I see them too. edit* those black and yellow totes are the ones I'm referring to

Thanks everybody. I’ll definitely go check them out. I figured I’d be spending way more for tough totes but these are very affordable!

I went a got a few and they are the real deal! Thanks everybody! They were even on sale so I can’t complain about that. To anyone who needs storage for anything, these are top notch especially for the price. I’ll get the big one later on for all of my console boxes

I used those to store games, wrapped the games in a large trash bag inside the container, sucked the air out, added desicate and sealed them for long term storage.

I second the Desiccant Packs. Especially if you are storing in the basement or somewhere that could have some moisture. You can get a huge pack of them for like $10 on Amazon. You can even heat them up to recharge them to be reused, but obviously do research on the specific packs you buy to make sure they can be heated up.

Sterilite's bins of that kind are garbage now, I've had several just start breaking down and bend under moderate weight.
I used to buy this specific kind of bin: https://www.walmart....
It held a ton of DVDs and full sized PC games and never buckled, but the quality has gone down for the past couple of years.
And whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THE TRANSPARENT ONES. Those are garbage.

Home Depot also has some Husky-brand stuff with watertight seals along the lid rim and clasps to lock everything in place. I'd recommend you look into these as well!

Thanks! I live in Florida so it?s always super humid and there?s the obvious threat of hurricanes so protecting them from moisture is clutch

These are undoubtedly the best. Sturdy, stackable, clear, and most importantly square on the inside:

I guess that would save your bacon if there was so much water that your bins were floating in it.
But the ones I linked to, and going off memory on how the lid attaches, wouldn?t get water in them if say you dumped a bucket of water on top of it.

Stuff can seep in from those (the ones you posted) unless you go through the extra effort in making a watertight/airtight seal, which with the cost of doing that, you may as well invest in one or two tubs that already have the feature built in.
