A thread for us forever-kids who dig this sort of thing to talk toys, figure photography, collections, etc. Show yours off, I wanna see em.

Obviously not my photos (you can find some of those in the thread), but look at these things:

image

Friggin neat. I should preface this thread by saying I tend to lean toward nostalgic properties/toys and I'm not all that "in" on the figure collecting scene. There are just certain pieces that I need and this TMNT/Power Rangers mash up is like smashing two huge aspects of my 90s kid childhood into one gorgeous project. Only one I'm not mega into is Tommy as the Foot Clan soldier (the Tommy head isn't in the photo). I dig that they brought at least one Power Ranger character into the TMNT world instead of vice versa but Tommy doesn't strike me as a Foot guy. That Shredder/Green Ranger mash up is a legit dream fig though.

But yah, share photos of your stuff or just talk about the toys (upcoming or retro) that interest you, etc etc.

Thanks for the response! I thought they were JoyToy because they reminded me of their Dark Source figures, which are like wusha inspired.

Not a good pic, but this is my latest purchase. Awesome figure for the $20 pricepoint, I might end up getting the rest of this line as they come out.

New figure Friday

The Jada Toys Street Fighter figures are really nice quality. A lot of articulation. A little disappointed they don't come with a stand for balancing issues.
Kamek went on sale for $4.98 on Amazon, couldn't pass it.

I have a large box of old toys from the 70's, 80's and early 90's. Star Wars, He-man, GI Joe, Transformers, TMNT, etc. We had a few Mask as well, but not sure if those survived. Bad thing is we played the hell out of those toys, and a lot of it is worn, broken or missing pieces. I remember hearing the first time some of these toys were worth in the $100 range. Our Optimus Prime was missing a leg among other damage. We had fun. My kids have shown some interest, but they don't have the attention span we did. Most of them have been put back in storage.

In the winter time we'd take our Star Wars and GI Joe outside, build miniature snow forts out of (shock) snow and have hoth-like battles (minus the expensive vehicles). I can remember using the old tin bandaid boxes with a hinged lid as vehicles, coffins and carbonite... had to be creative as an 80's middle class family child. lol

We would have gi joe wars with hairspray and lighters. Wrap the figures in tape like mummies and bury them in cinder block crypts. Bad boys.

I went through a period of trying to launch them via rockets... bottle rockets that is. I remember torching the cobra team twins before thinking this won't work. This was the first step before snap, then roman candle and bottle rocket wars. Stopped that when a roman candle exploded in someones hand, luckily away from the hand. My goodness we were lucky dumb.

Yeah, theyre pretty damn good for the price. That Megaman I posted is from Jada as well. I think they could do better on the head sculpts (specifically the alternates) but again, for $25 its all actually pretty awesome.

A little disappointed they don't come with a stand for balancing issues.
Generic cheap bases should work. I prefer these flight stands from Bandai though:

TAMASHII NATIONS Bandai Stage Act. 5 for Mechanics Stand Support (Clear), Multi (BAS56788) https://a.co/d/3q0qr...

You can also get some really cheap ones from aliexpress, but I feel these hold the weight a bit better and theyre better quality.

I could be a millionaire and would still scoff at an $800 figure. I would rather die lmao

BUT that figure looks badass as hell, cannot lie.

The head sculpt is practically perfect. My concern would be the silicone body. Ive read you shouldnt leave them (i.e. elbows bent) posed for too long. I own 1 (the custom Ryu I posted) and Im scared of posing it.

I've read the same thing. Some good info about caring for silicone bodies can be found on the One Sixth Warrior forums.

Got a mistery box with 3 random figmas in the mail yesterday. Didnt get anything I wouldve bought (except for Itadori maybe) but I feel like I didnt get anything lame. All 3 are pretty cool. Got Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaizen, Levi from Attack on Titan and "Hero" from P4U.

Anyone else do the mistery box thing?

I had a lot of cool Power Rangers stuff as a kid I wish I had now. The Dragon Dagger, a few of the rangers as action figures, I’m sure some other crap I don’t remember… getting old is a drag.
