What do you like to snack on?

Could be while you play videogames, while you're driving, working, whenever.

Using a microwave to cook is pretty convenient, but the cooking time options for less amounts of time are fairly limited, at least in the one that we use. The least amount of time is the 30 second button. There's no input method to run it for let's say just 10 or 15 seconds.

The only way to do that, at least that I'm aware of, is to start the microwave on any amount of time, and then press the stop button while it's running. Seems like an oversight in the feature section.

OT: I tried Three Wishes cereal and found I like to munch on it instead of having it with milk. I already finished the whole box. Will buy more the next chance I get.

Ah Magic Spoon. Seemed every YouTuber was pushing it a few months ago. I was interested in trying it until I saw the price. Like 3x the price of a typical box.

I heard of Magic Spoon but when I looked at their website, I found it contains sunflower oil. Ezekiel cereal costs about the same, but I think it's a better choice.

I've been liking the cinnamon Popcorners. They kind of taste like the cinnamon twists at taco bell.

I keep talking smack about seed oils but I apparently are less averse to them than I thought, when push comes to shove. Barebells protein bars have sunflower oil in the ingredients but they're soo good. I've been buying them up. They might be even better than the No Cow bars I mentioned before since the protein comes from milk as opposed to brown rice and peas as is the case with No Cow. (hence the name) I love both though, they taste so good, and each have 20g protein per bar.

One snack I’ve been addicted to this holiday season is caramel popcorn. Not very healthy but so rich and delicious.

Have you had any of the other flavors? Some other pretty good ones too.

Yeah sadly I think it is hard to find. Half the time my store doesn't have them. We recently got a bag but it was the last one. I've tried the sweet and salty (red bag) and they are good too. Didn't care for the white cheddar..they have more sodium anyway.

Has a nice flavor kick to it.

Tonight I tried to poach an egg in the microwave for the first time, and guess what? It exploded. The glass I put the egg in wasn't broken, so the water superheated apparently. So nothing bad happened well except the entire inside of the microwave covered in omelette.

If you microwave in a super smooth glass or the water is distilled it can explode. Mythbusters covered the latter.

https://m.youtube.co...

Basically if anything prevents the water from boiling it becomes superheated and can explode once the tension is broken. You'll need to let it cool a bit before handling.

This is good advice for microwaving nearly everything: leave it in the microwave for a minute or two after it's done. It will help even out the heat.

The caramel cashew tastes exactly like 3 Musketeers. Which is funny because I don't think I've even had a 3 Musketeers anytime in the past decade. (so how do I remember what it tastes like?)
The only other flavor I tried was salted peanut. I don't know how to describe it but it's pretty self explanatory- peanut and chocolate. Good stuff.
There are other flavors but I thus far I've just been buying those two.

P.S. Regarding the microwave incident before. I think it was the egg that exploded, not the water. My bad.

At one time I thought I would use the microwave to heat water for tea, but when I googled it there are so many damn rules for heating water. Like how the container must not be smooth and that you should put a wooden spoon inside the container. Like.. what is that even. Who has wooden spoons? A mixing spoon maybe. Or a wooden spatula. But those are too big. Why not, like, a toothpick? (Or is that too small?)

I use a microwave for boiling water in a measuring cup for my morning coffee everyday and rarely have any problem. Every once a while it’ll explode but it’s pretty rare.

nothing has come remotely close. I don't even know what a comp would be for it honestly because it was a peanut butter peanut hat was crispy but wasn't a peanut is the best way to describe them.

Those are very long unless I break it in half. But I don't want splinters in the water.

oh, what I could do is break it in half, put the non broken side sticking out so it's not in the water, and heat the water /uncovered/. This is assuming the stick won't float... but maybe I'm thinking of straws.

A toothpick sounds better.

EDIT: Yesterday I ate a box of these in one go:
image
https://www.amazon.c...
I usually never buy anything with added sugars, so I don't know what's come over me. The box says keto-friendly and that the company is founded by a diabetic (so WHY is there sugar in it) but at least it's a small amount. 2g per serving which is TWO cookies, so only 1g per cookie. I've recently bought my sister Trader Joe's maple leaf sandwich cookies that had 9g sugar per cookie. So we're talking a big difference. https://www.traderjo...

Anyway, the Catalina cookies were awesome. I plan to buy more.

P.S. I had crackers afterwards and a protein bar. (I was really, really hungry) I would've thought I'd feel junky after all that but I don't at all, and have plenty of energy. Interesting.. I can live with this.

@HEHEHATE Have you tried Krave cereal? If yes, is the texture similar?
