I don't know why this game got a semi bad rep. Sure it wasn't a typical Wario platformer, and some levels were frustrating. But I thought it was fun overall.

I think the issue was that it came out later in the DS life cycle and felt like a launch title, instead of a Nintendo AAA type game... but it is a solid game!

Agreed! People are too critical of it. It was cool having an actual story in a Wario platformer beyond one inciting action and a climax.
