Thanks for posting pics. Mario Kart DS brings me back. Fun times that one. Had a great multiplayer. I like that Riven box.
Yeah, I still have a ds I traded for with a flat screen due to the hinges being damaged. Tried the games, one didn't work for a bit, then I remembered the old Nintendo tricks, blow on the cartridge and into the machine too. Did the trick and it all works. Have one 3ds game so can't test that one out.

https://www.facebook...

was browsing some deals, nothing spectacular but the sims 3 Katy Perry would cover the cost of all the games, but you would have to pay shipping. Unsure, games take long to sell, and I'm always like, got more to list, I should just start putting it all up, but maybe I'll get the energy once spring really starts. Can always pay with PayPal and pay the fee to cover in case of no shipping, lotsa feedback. I dunno, sharing a deal and replying. It's ok for sure

Edit: Lol, I never read. I doubt they'll ship if they say porch pick up and cash only...I tried because I was kinda bored again lol

It says there was a bike in the '90s that was very light, light enough that if heavily ridden off path could lead to frame failure. Scary to be riding a bike and it starts bending.

Did get a deal today. Said I'd share it until tomorrow, so will leave you all in a little suspense.

But this will kinda do: the previous deal she had, she had more big box games, but that doesn't mean quality...she had diablo 1 for $20, day of the tentacle for $50, Half Life 1 big box $20, some WOW dark portal and tides of darkness for $25 or $30 each, etc. Someone bought them all. Anyways, she did say she did have more, I'm like text me on my cell. Yeah right. So I'm browsing at 1am and see she posted at 10 pm or so. These games don't appear at the market at all, or are very rare. Won't even say how much I'm spending or how many games there are. She's coming over later this week too, guess she'll be around, and the first message I sent, inquired if delivery is possible, than remember the name from the previous games I missed out on.

That's all you get for today. Tomorrow, this riddle that will never make you pinpoint it at all, will have to endure until tomorrow...tomorrow! lol

So I guess they're keeping me kid with games still, haha. Can't grow up and fly, but then again, I've done most you can do reasonably speaking, now what's brand new or what's the energy with the people causing new waves? - maybe lol

Got Red Alert 2 Collector's Edition PC - it's missing the Soviet disc to the game only, but guess this, I had a red alert 2, with just the soviet disc. I hope they're standard discs and can make the switch. Unsure. Then I got Tiberian Sun Platinum Edition. Now Red Alert 2 collector's was at $40, Tiberian Sun Platinum at $50. I said, first, would you do $80 for both. She didn't reply clearly, so I said, I'll do the price, $90 + $5 for delivery. She's coming over later this week, not just for this, has something else to do, so that's cool. Sometimes it works out, since it's a bit farther, I'd prob either bus it in the cold, or have to borrow car lol.

Now I'm not really sure this is better, but somehow, feels like it's about even in terms of the price and deal beforehand, went to someone. I normally don't get too many rarities, I must try to now. Or at least get some more big box lots of games when they appear lol

I asked her nicely to take off the ads, as I'd buy for sure. Have some feedback there, so I'm sure she knew I'm not goofing.

People always try, heck I try, and got some deals that way before too, well, at least 2 I clearly remember. But now that I'm thinking bout the pictures, is there 2 or 3 figurines there? Should be 3. I hope it's the right amount. And I was thinking, zoomed in on the picture there, that the cds look pretty much the same. Versions shouldn't be dif either, as old collector's were all about bonus things, but the numbers on the cd might be different. No way to know for sure, will look around for more pictures, and guess I have to def mention it if I decide to list. Thinking these things might be worth more in the future, but I'm less and less a collector. Got 2 deeper shelves, that are rowed in that I'm keeping, and games put flat to top in the front. I guess I wanna see if I can still bank more in the future, and if my senses are still sharp. But things worth a lot, usually get me eager to try and cash in. Not always, but with games, I'm no longer that nostalgic.

Fun, mind puzzling, adventurous, action packed, and engineered to elevate without anything unless you want to. Pretty dope ideas in there too sometimes.

I had an idea for a game, but then got banned because of that topic when someone negged. Ha ha. Guess harder to think now, but it was to be called Sole Survivor, And a person is cast on a beach, and as he withers away, some parts seem like memories and some parts something else. As a needle and broken bottle get washed ashore, he hears noises and has dif ways to go in. Now this whole island is like a weird island with zombies, dinosaurs, monsters, etc. As he goes to kill some zombies, he realizes with those that he calls memories, he can control them to do his bidding like gang up on other zombies you're fighting. He then goes to different parts, and the memories get further, but he starts to realize the other things going on in his head are like calls to this island, like there's purpose here. I dunno, he kills off the biggest monster after, and blows up some of the island. I dunno, lol. I don't remember much more, or maybe that's it

I got an external Bluray drive and a cheapy DVD player for like $6.50 total at the Amazon dumpster store in town. The Bluray drive is a bit weird and the actual drive is like, 10 years old but it works. The cheapy DVD player is USB powered, upscales DVD to 1080p/i, and it doesn't like HDMI cables that are longer than 3 feet.

First true sale weekend of the year. $20 for all..

ETA: Books actually seem to sell on eBay. May try selling instead of taking to the book store.

All this stuff is/was available. Some games already claimed.

Hey, got the 2 games today. Weather was freaky the past days, with snow, etc, so they I guess decided they ain't coming down. Than said they'd need $25 for delivery unless you want to go pick up. I said fine after, so whatever $115. One pewter mini statue per, but read the back of the box and turns out yeah, there was really only one per. The two on the back are mentions of you will get either/or. So all good.

Funny thing too, I put the disc there that I had, and checked all the numbers, and the allied disc vs. the soviet disc is one number dif by one number, where and how it should be, just like the complete other editions I zoomed in of pics on. I don't think they made a change to the version due to the collector's edition, just added some things. I guess back then, people were getting lazy with these things. All good, some shiny boxes. Numbered editions.

Should I make a mention that I put the disc in. I know that may seem to make collector's crazy in a way, but I really think it's solved. I dunno.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: For Curiosity's Sake : I did say he did have more games, I replied under each heading, so this is what was available before:

Diablo pc big box $25
Maniac Mansion Day of the Tentacle : $50
Warcraft 2 Beyond The Dark Portal : $20
Command & Conquer Red Alert Counterstrike : $10
Quake III Arena in Metal Tin Collector's Edition: $25
Half Life Big Box Edition : $20

All complete and in box and some other games, but to be quite frank, I'm still happy. Hardly ever get quality games anymore, and this is quality. Unsure as to real values, but just to confirm, went through the MobyGames version of the game, and the disc numbers and cds correspond. I completed it! lol

I paid way more than I should've for these.

Three more DVDs for my Platinum Disc Corp Super Jewel Case collection, I'm pretty sure I didn't have that 4K Inception, and I wanted Electra and Daredevil on Bluray so these will do until I get the full versions.

Also, that little black thingy is the PS3 adapter for PS2 memory cards. I can't believe how much that thing is going for on eBay right now... I don't need it, but if anyone's interested in it, lemme know. :p

You won't believe my or me luck today, lol. I just posted a deal from Kitchener on a local forum, the thread got cancelled. I clicked on it, the link gone. But there weren't that many good games in that one, I was like, just share if someone is close. Then I see it got disallowed, prob cuz I put a bad link, or link was dead, and I'm banned so didn't get posted up immediately.

I check, 2 lots of games: $20 each. One has shogo in it boxed, the other diablo 1, she says 27 and 29 games. I'm like WOWOW. But I didn't see: Half Life, she included even. more games, and you wouldn't believe it, ANOTHER Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 Collector's Edition. Pictured coming later. She also had grim fandango, little folded, in box. I see Dune 2000, a new and sealed classics Dungeon Keeper. All this for $40, and I didn't bring up the biggest bag of big box games, as my mother had to drive my grandma back.

Yeah, my mom had the car today, decided to pick up grandma, and then I was like, time for a deal. So we all went out, had dinner at Chuck's Roadhouse later, and for the prices, their chicken might be better than Swiss Chalet. Or was I just stoned and hungry, maybe, it was pretty good. That concludes this for now, pictures coming later. I need a joint before than lol.

Those are the pics. Command & Conquer is still sealed. So is Ultima Online. The PSP Heavy Metal game has a game sampler disc inside...Put in first pics, some games that I know are worth more. Some I'll have to check, and hopefully be surprised. What a haul for $40, but I'll pay for my end of the meal and pitch for the peeps and gas and getting there and back, so I guess $80 is the cost lol.

I was just talking to my buddy, and telling him how in this deal, in like 10 or 12 or even 15 games, I'm looking at 1k, then I get to thinking. That command & conquer red alert 2 collector's edition, ahh, is there a statue...he might have put it in his room, or she might sell them along with the toys, too rude for me to go looking for this and contacting her, after already such a great deal. But yeah, guess after you feel the rhythm of life, you have to get back and count some cash, just to feel like you have the opportunity to live life. We're not special, maybe there will never be a resort where everyone get along around a weedfire lol. I dunno, meh. But yeah, no figure in that one. All good, still happy. No comments, some games did come in kinda folded, I hope she didn't do that in the last days she was treating it like $20 bags of nerd things haha

This thrift store that opened near me is weird. Video game prices are insanely high (like $5 minimum no matter the game), but the console prices are insanely low. I got the following for $30:

From last Saturday, one of my usual sources of movies told me "Hey dude I got like 1000 DVDs I'll be bringing down", so I waited and it was closer to 700. He had TONS of things that I wasn't interested in, but I still managed to grab the stuff below:

image

I paid about $15 for all of this. Punisher is going to replace my older, beat up copy. I also got a bundle of six Taylor Swift CDs from him. Did you know eBay buyers are going nuts over her CDs for some reason? I didn't. I also got some other things for reselling locally.

He had like, the entire MCU stuff up until The Eternals / Shang Chi. I hope someone grabbed all that stuff, because it rained in the afternoon and on Sunday so stuff might've gotten soaked...

He also had Bloodrayne 1, so I was hoping he'd have Bloodrayne 2 or other Uwe Boll movies. No luck. :(

I got Jazz Jackrabbit pc cd in jewel with separate manual. Paid a little more than I wanted, but should be enroute. Paid $20 shipped.

Also bought a pair of nike ja Morant edition size 11 for $50. Someone came across that I knew, said he had them around, new and I was like, let me try em on, if they fit, it's sold. They fit, so I got some shoes lol

I had a doctor's appointment this morning and stopped at my father's afterward. He and I got lunch, then stopped in a retro toy store nearby.

I was told they had a small section of retro video games. They had quite a bit, but they were mostly crammed into a small display case or behind the counter. Most of them were on the pricier side, matching or slightly above Price Charting prices.

image

I managed to snag Amazing Penguin at a really good price! I had heard of this game, back when LRG released a reprint. Not much could be done for the discoloration, but I'm happy the stickers and tape were a success.

I nabbed a loose copy of Fire Emblem Warriors Nintendo New 3DS Nintendo 3DS for a cool $10.60. Not a great game at full price, but definitely worth $10. Now the question is: Should I pirate the DLC? If I had wanted it so badly, I should’ve bought it last year… but this also isn’t the ideal way to experience the DLC, as the Switch version is undeniably better. If I ever own the Switch version, I’ll definitely buy the DLC there.

Apparently, Target has been slashing prices for specific Switch games across the chain. I couldn’t get Live A Live or Cereza & the Lost Demon, but they’re also super reduced ATM.

I might need to stop in my local Target tomorrow. I'm planning to see if my Staples has any Switch games left over, after the coupon deal.

Got my jazz jackrabbit in today. Cd looks great, inserts there, manual there too, kinda beat up or choppy on edges. Pretty sweet. Looks like a fun game too.

I was about to nab a box of age of empires II for $5 and grand theft auto 1 box for pc for $10. They had manuals inside too. Asked for shipping, didn't do it in a day, but I forgot to put money in the bank, so I guess it worked out - by me not getting it. Said someone local came by and bought both boxes and he had 3 games for $5 each in jewels. I wasn't interested in those. He did say he's never shipped before but would do it, I didn't press for a hold - my rookie mistake? - wasn't that great of a deal once you get shipping, and my aofe II is with expansion, so not the right version, so without a push, this has passed. Oh well.

Not looking too much, gotta start. On those nice days, where people go, I wanna do something outside, or look inside and try to make it tidier or better lol. Spring cleaning is a thing I'm guessing

Not winning much in them contests, but won a Cash Cab toque today.

Also today, sent $20 + $20 for shipping, for Unreal in box with the jewel case sealed in front of the box, Macintosh version. I didn't inquire if all the paperwork is there, but I'd figure it so. Figure at $40 investment, can make at least $120 after it all at least, making $80. Maybe more. Only one sold, but the box was all ripped up. I'm sure either all the watchers of the other boxed versions will go to me, or someone will decide to purchase when they notice. Hopefully lol.

I'm pretty much broke, going around another month. LOL.

Yard sale season has started off with a bang. Went to a community sale, found zip. Saw a yard sale advertised on Facebook that was near, so I decided to check it out. Guy had photos of graded sports cards, so I figured prices at the sale wouldn't be the best. Though if you have one collectible, you may have more. I was right:

image
Got everything here for $5. When he saw the coin he remarked how he had a bunch of promo stuff from his days as a DM for Game Crazy. Asked if I could give him my number and he just said he'd grab the bin:

image
Paid $10 for everything here. Bin was mostly t-shirts, posters, and keychains but I found a few things. White things are MGS bandanas. Not sure why one is smaller than the other. Best item he had was an RC car to promote Midnight Club: LA, but he remarked it would be expensive as one is listed on ebay for $2500.

As I was leaving I found the component cables on a tarp with some other cords. He let me have them for free.

I didn't find much at the flea market this morning, only picked up a 4K Steelbook for The Limey, some sort of Best Buy exclusive set. It had the code inside but I don't use those so it's gone for sale in the digital forum, hint hint.

One of my usual sources also brought some Bluray and DVD players. I noticed a kinda beat up Sony BDP-S5200, so I asked for a price. They said three bucks, so I nabbed it, it didn't have a power supply but I got a bunch around. I tested it and... Bluray playback is glitchy, the video keeps stopping as if it can't read the disc. I'm not sure if it's the discs I tested this with or what.

Edit: I tested Air America, one of the behind the scenes videos keeps skipping but the actual movie works fine. Meanwhile Swordfish keeps freezing before the movie credits start. Maybe I'm just not lucky.

DVDs SEEM to work fine, though. I was looking for a player to use to record DVD game footage with and this might be perfect for that purpose.

Now if I could figure out how to make the player Region 0... (I don't need a region free bluray player.)

Could be. I've been testing several movies and none have had these issues, maybe it's the discs themselves. It booted the Terminator 2 Skynet Edition disc that made another one of my players freak out, so that's good.

I tried the two troublesome discs again, same issues. So they might just be bad.

I accidentally won an eBay auction. I landed this rare item for $32.86 altogether:
[imgt w=1600 h=1600]https://i.ebayimg.co...[/imgt]
[imgt w=1600 h=1600]https://i.ebayimg.co...[/imgt]

My copy of Path of Radiance came disk-only, so I put it in a jewel case with a humorous, custom artwork. But I'm finally ready to own the real box.
[imgt w=1666 h=834]https://pbs.twimg.co...[/imgt]

That's a fair chunk of change for a box with slight damage and no manual, but I doubt you could find me one better for a more acceptable price. (No, the one for $25 with nine days left in the auction won't stay that way.) VGPC says it's worth $50ish, so I got a bargain. Plus, I've owned the disk for eight years at this point--it's time for it to be properly housed.

I took a gamble on two ziploc bags full of Mortal Kombat 2 trading cards that were in some old beaten up toploaders.

Turns out this must have been the cream of the crop of a pretty serious collector - all the cards are chase cards. which seem to be pretty hard to find and have some value.

Cards are in great shape once I get them out of the toploaders. Seem to be pretty rare, I have more chase cards for this set than are available on the entirety of eBay. Total investment is 20 bucks (10 for the cards, 10 for new toploaders).

Excited the weather is finally nice so I can start hitting the flea markets again.

Grabbed a copy of Final Fantasy XIII from GameStop with my monthly rewards points.

I won't be getting to it anytime soon, but now I have reason to see why reception on it was so split. grin

Community yard sales have started back up here in Baltimore, so I'm back out there again. This past weekend there was a community sale I was looking forward to, but I left after half-an-hour as it was swarmed by so many people it was causing traffic jams. I'm glad I did, though, as I was able to get to a yard sale near my home before anyone else and get first crack at some games and CDs. The Gamecube, games, and controllers were $45. Unfortunately the Gamecube looks like it has a bad power board, but everything else looks good so far. The PS4 was free since it wouldn't boot, but I booted it in safe mode and updated the system software and now it seems to work fine. The CDs were $15 and were a pick up for my brother since he's collecting CDs these days. I kind of had to guess what to get him, but he said there was some good stuff in there and was happy to grab them.

Cool finds all, keep 'em coming.

Just went down, as it was delivered 2 days ago...to get my unreal in box for Mac.. He shipped in bubble wrap...in a padded envelope. Obviously some damage to the box, bit creased, and no manual inside. But cd is brand new and box is still decent, no rips. Still should make something, more to think about. I thought it was common knowledge to ship boxes in boxes, but I guess that has escaped me this time lol, to render it as a, hey gotta be this way right? - kinda thing

Had another good Saturday here in Baltimore! Grabbed the games in the pic for $25 - probably overpaid but it was early in the day and I was hungry for a find. The board games came later in the day - they were $50 total but are in excellent condition. I'm hoping some of my tabletop friends can find a use for them. Lastly, the VHS tapes are the big score of the day. Lots of rare horror and raunchy comedy titles in there and I got the box for $30. I'm not a VHS guy myself, but I know enough about them that I didn't want to risk these going in the trash and I know plenty of cinephiles that'll be happy to give them a good home.

My copy of Splatoon 2 came in. It was as advertised by the 3rd party seller on Walmart. It's the PEGI version and the case has a little damage with a crack. The cart is in great shape and works fine. Not bad for less than $10.

Ooh, definitely play that! It’s a fantastic game, though maybe a bit more when the player base was stronger. But that’s not the game’s fault.

I finally got this, one of the rarest US DVD games. I've only seen it for sale three times over the past four years. And my god does it suck so much.

TL;DR it's Family Feud, based off a short lived Latino version aired in the US. Weirdly, the disc is titled "FAMILYFEUDMX"... which makes me wonder if they intended to release this there as well.

I nabbed a sideways Wii console for $7.50 this morning. Let garage sale season begin!

Tested and works. It’s in adequate shape, especially after I clean it a bit. It’s the redesign that drops GCN compatibility, sadly. But I like having a pile of Wii consoles in my back pocket that I can sell, trade, or give to random friends. If there are any takers, I’m happy to do business (not for $7.50, of course).

Had another decent weekend yard saling here in Baltimore! Saturday was the day of my favorite community sale of the year in a pretty little neighborhood tucked away from the places most of the other yard salers go to. Even if I don't find anything, I always have a pleasant time. But I did, indeed, find some things! The games in the first pic were $10 for everything and Hit & Run is always a good find. Everything in the second pic was just weird stuff I found around the rest of the neighborhood for a few dollars here and there - some I'll be keeping and some will be prizes for my movie night. I also left my number with a few people who have games - no one ever contacts me again but here's hoping someday it'll happen.

image

image

On Sunday a local clean-out guy I know had a yard sale as well. Last year I got a bunch of good stuff from him for like 50% eBay prices. This year he didn't have nearly as much gaming stuff, but I put together the stuff in the pic below, he asked for $20, and I left happy with what I got. Unfortunately trying to test Revenge of the Ninja led to me finding out that my Sega CD might need some repairs, but I need to do some more testing to be sure.

I got the following for $12.50.
[imgt w=1536 h=2048]https://pbs.twimg.co...[/imgt]

The Switch case is missing cartridge holders, but it can indeed protect a Switch. The DS folder can hold 20 games. The Super Mario Bros. Movie cup is rather amusing, and the Pikachu there is clearly from a Pokémon anniversary merch line—the pastel color used on it matches that anniversary’s color scheme.

Not pictured is the $40 Xbox One, which I secured for a friend. I’m content with my White Xbox One S, but he had none. I like sticking my neck out for my allies.

@Gypsy Flea market vendor. Some of his stuff he looks up, some of it he just throws a random price on. So Hades, Mario 3d, and Wario Ware were 145 total. Then Obscure, Rumble Roses, and the two Genesis games were each 15 dollars.

I've been buying games from this guy for literally 15 years so I get good prices from him too.

I am really curious to see what he brings out tomorrow, he bought a massive stash recently so he is still trying to figure out what all he has available.

I had a pretty good haul last weekend. No pics (mostly all gone now anyway) but grabbed 50+ star wars books for $10, some crappy wii games for 50 cents each and then a bunch of dirt cheap (mostly 10 cents each) blu rays and tv series on dvd. Ended up getting $117 out of the star wars books. I know a few collectors and sold stuff at good rates to get it moved. Book store happily took the remainder.

Well, I wasn't finding any good local deals, but than typed the French variant of computer games = jeux d'ordinateur

I found like 100 games or more for $80. I didn't want them all, would have been expensive, but saw Transformers War for Cybertron in the mix. I generously said I'll give you $15 for it, + $6 to cover lettermail shipping. So $21 in total. Now I was waiting til he said he shipped it to share, but whatever, I was like, gotta share it already haha. Then he goes, I have and found a new copy and will send you the new copy. Now before I was about to say, you have 2, let me get the other one, I looked and the whole lot was taken. So I'm guessing someone knew also of war for cybertron, and that game alone was worth what he paid for all the games. It was in Quebec City.

Anyways, hopefully it comes. And today, check my emails, won Dane Cook tickets. Lots of tickets, but not really too many I'm like YEAH, THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME, hopefully win some more summer shows as this one's in December.

Hey, yeah. I enter contests too, but not everyday. Do the one time monthly - do a run, but missed out last month, still delayed. Still been doing all the local radio stations each week pretty much, and I guess since I started, won 1 set of tickets for every 2 week period. Pretty good, but I like live music. Seems to be better ambience to go, smoke a j, and see what the people are doing. First show is Amanda Marshall, guess I'll go, she's alright to give a listen to and blaze, also won barbie the musical tickets, Shakira, and now Dane Cook. Already been at a Kooks show, but that wasn't that great. Still, new method is: use 1 ticket, sell the other, get some prerolls, transportation and a smaller snack like meal, and I'm golden with this arrangement. Now I just gotta win more shows I actually want to see. I enter them all, don't pick and choose until I know what I won lol

Finally had a dry weekend here in Baltimore, so I went to a rescheduled community sale. Spent a few hours walking around and got plenty of weird little tchotkes and stuff for the kiddos, but no games. On the way back, however, I spotted a random sale a few streets away from home and figured I'd check it out. I'm VERY glad I did, because as I approached I saw a bunch of good PS1 and PS2 titles sitting there. The seller also had some random toys that I figured I'd grab for a friend and some interesting movies that I figured my cinephile friends would like. Everything was kind of dirty and the seller just wanted stuff gone since they were moving, so I got all of the games, movies, and action figures in the pics below for $30. I spent the weekend cleaning stuff and unfortunately almost everything has at least a little water damage, plus some of the discs are bad (e.g. FF7 Disc 1 has some rot). Additionally, some of it still smells a little funky but I'm hoping some time in my non-funky basement can help that. Still, definitely worth it for the chance to add some new stuff to my collection!

Oh yeah, I love them. My cult movie night shows a lot of old Mexican wrestling movies so I figured they'll be a good raffle prize next time we show one. And thanks for the tip on the ukelele! I picked it up to donate to my kid's school, but if they don't want it I'll try reaching out here.

I went to the flea market, but the booth I usually buy stuff at didn't bring much of anything. Mostly clothes, only about a quarter of a table of other stuff. I was going to leave feeling all defeated, until I noticed another booth moving to another area, setting up for tomorrow. I saw they had two boxes with "Movies" written on them.

I spoke to the employee and asked if I could check the boxes, he said fine, and he'd call his boss to make sure what he'd ask for each disc. I started to dig around and found a lot of movies that were damaged or just moldy, but I ended up picking out about 12. I cross referenced with my spreadsheet and only ended up grabbing six.

One of those was something that I didn't really think would cost much: Mortal Kombat Conquest. I didn't really think much of it until I looked up the price on ebay and ... yow. $75-100 bucks for a complete set. So I nabbed that. I also found another DVD that's worth a bit of money.

In the end I grabbed the three Disney movies above (all, surprisingly, not in my collection) and Color Out Of Space was a surprise find. I love Cage. :p

The other thing in the photo is the last of my DVD game purchases. I was expecting a giant board game sized box, but it turned out to be... tiny. The disc inside was literally in a DiscSaver case...

I got this for $20.50. Not pictured was the $3 cotton candy some kids were making. NSMBWii was $10 on its own—not a steal, but not a bad enough price to reject. The copy I gave my brother a few years ago disappeared, so I might just give it to him… unless someone here wants it more.

Another wet weekend here, but I still did pretty well! Sales on Saturday were almost completely rained out, but near lunch time I saw an ad on a local group about a yard sale at a house with a porch. I sent a message about video games and they said they had a bunch at their mom's and that they were heading over there later in the day. We messaged throughout the day and later I was able to pick up everything below for $120. Dinosaur King, Half-Life, and the Spider-Man games are very nice additions to my collection:

Sunday was much drier, so I and my daughter walked to a sale a few streets away that had been postponed the previous day. I wasn't expecting much, but then one of the sellers pulled out a stack of DS, Wii, and Gamecube games. I grabbed everything below for $30, and since Zombie BBQ has been on my wanted list for a while I came home VERY happy. I'm also going to see if I can get that Tamagotchi working and tell my kids that it's their new sibling.

image

After that, when I thought I was done for the day, I saw that a neighborhood a couple of streets over was having a block sale so I headed out with my daughter again (she loves yard sales since it's a chance for her to meet new people and talk their ears off). Mostly kids stuff, but one dude had an XBox One for $10. He said his friends gave it to him so he'd play online with them, but he never used it and had no idea if it worked. I took it home and hooked it up and it works fine, so now I have an XBone, I guess.

[imgt w=4032 h=3024]https://i.imgur.com/...[/imgt] After that, when I thought I was done for the day, I saw that a neighborhood a couple of streets over was having a block sale so I headed out with my daughter again (she loves yard sales since it's a chance for her to meet new people and talk their ears off). Mostly kids stuff, but one dude had an XBox One for $10. He said his friends gave it to him so he'd play online with them, but he never used it and had no idea if it worked. I took it home and hooked it up and it works fine, so now I have an XBone, I guess. [imgt w=4032 h=3024]https://i.imgur.com/...[/imgt]Amazing. Great finds. When you say the 2nd to bottom picture was $30, you offered 30 or the seller said 30? Just curious.

Their price. They games were $5 a pop or 3 for $10, so I grabbed 9, asked if $30 was OK, and they said yes.

What? Haha no. It's just a DVD in a case thing.

Anyway, my latest delivery from the past weekend was a brand new Xploder DVD lens cleaning kit that also included a free DVD game. The package did not look at all like the photo, the plastic was all cracked and yellowed from age, but the contents were indeed new so I let it pass.

The disc is exactly the same as the normal standalone release. But what really bothered me was the DVD lens cleaner...

That's scary.

That's 3 strikes against me recently. One was on me, as I buckled, as too much money was frozen over one item, and though I knew he was lying about the statue, I just said fudge it, will throw you back this, and I can cash out. Then Barbie the Concert tickets, cancelled. Would have been some money, as I didn't plan on going. Then this the $21 for transformers war for or of cybertron. Never showed up

Now what I'm thinking is, he was somewhere else, not this place. When he sent the picture of the envelope it was stuck on with tape - prob for easy take down. Then he just either had some other or had some other mail with stamps on em just cuz. It was also an eBay envelope. Kinda weird for someone selling a lot, now I think he was just f**king with me. LOL.

I will await tomorrow, if not, tell this guy off. He's prob not from Val D'or Quebec but somewhere in the province prob, just trying for easy money. This means WWIII. And that means, the days will continue as such. Maybe I'll just take it to the other side. Pretty lame overall. Ha ha. That's it - War! Prob not but that's pretty lame I take it. Pretty sure it was a set up. Quebec and their cheap beer, they should all be orphaned children of Doug Ford cuz the stoners got too many ideas and they need to be separated lol

@Foxhack

Thanks for the pictures. I appreciate it. So it's a DVD case. I thought it was some kind of massive drinking goblet. On that note, would you have rathered an actual goblet? :D

That DVD lens cleaner is a bit scary. I wouldn't risk putting that in a DVD player. But the idea is cool. As the disc spins, have it clean the laser. Would that work? Maybe it's not risky? But I wouldn't want to test it. Clever idea, but I wonder if it works.

Every time he has a policy, or turn around, it's for the people, but is it really. Like $1 beers...or let's not make people smoking weed a public thing? Go back sitting behind trees? Give me a break. He just eggs me as one who reads, then fills in the blanks to his own very slight feeling, and we're to live for the people by the people. meh. It takes a whole nation, it takes us all, at least life, to keep on for the right future. The rest of it is some pay check that always goes too fast when you actually get to it. The variable in play is not money, but the relief of the people assuming the same outgoing outflow rather than have real fun, trying to live real life and being spontaneous. Even if a little crazy at first, it's gotta be the new clockwork of the people lol

Well, he seemed reasonable but that was a lie, before the preiminent block. Sure I said he prob needed beer money and I should put his dick in an empty and break it up with a hammer. LOL.

Fudge it, I hate scammers. He put the addresses with tape over an eBay envelope. Took a picture of all the games, even that one big separate game, but it seemed he could have had pictures purposely for that one and prob got a few of us doing exactly that. I remember someone with a picture with colours in the back, and that was from QC too and never replied...guessing the account was blocked. Meh, can't win them all. There are crazy people like losers giving the actual tax - the money - ON LIFE, a reason to sustain them and live their fake fantasy, and it's probably wrecking them. Get into the sunshine you dumbo ostriches (ostrich only cuz it puts its head in the sand, or under a rock? - maybe I got that from cartoons???)

Coincidence. I just heard a discussion about ostriches putting their heads in the sand on the radio. They don’t! But you’re correct that’s a common cliche.

Ok, well, it seems personal change is on the way...

First, I had a long night's sleep, woke up, smoke 2 j's, went to take a nap. Woke up feeling like I had a dream...I was on tv, and they were all like, you need to show some more respect.

And I got to thinking, when I woke up, you always have that lil bit of feel for yourself cuz you're transparent to yourself really. But sometimes, when it's for no real reason, or there could be a better way...

And yeah, I did get the game. Guess I didn't explain that quite as deep as on my session, but yeah, time to really not treat people like they're crazy. Ha ha, or have a bad mood, so y'all can fudge off, they may be cheering you up, it's an energy world - maybe everyone you see and hear even in the open, is some channels of energy forming. I dunno

Anyways, feel kinda stupid, like my off-beat comedy can be situationally happy, but in this small frame, it all seems you need to start living the life you need, if they don't follow or see today, tomorrow is the day we all fly, so to speak haha

Well, not a great deal. And actually differed than what I had thought.

Was pretty close to me, when I was passing, just had to go up a street and voila. Was going to get some Mac games: Fallout 2, Star Wars Battlefront, case and manual Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, NEW. Fallout 2 had Fallout 1 in it. It was kinda scratched up. Didn't have fallout 2 in it, and it's the dvd case. I remember I bought the fallout 2 in small box for $20 sold for like $60-$70. Another one that took off on me lol

Now I think about it, I got more junk, and spent some money. LOL

Picked these up for a total of $410 dollars. The SNES games are insanely clean, and the controllers appear unused.

Just made a fair offer. It was too far for just one game, even if local to the province...but the box was really beat up.

I paid $20 CAD + $6 for shipping, for a brand new and sealed anachronox jewel case. This is a variable, none have sold, but at $18 for a used copy. I might try for $85 or so CAD on eBay, see the response. Might be a shot in the dark, but if sent, and this person has the feedback, and seems trustworthy - they all do - you just have a routine in how you expect things, let go, most things if not all will line up and be just fine, or better. LOL

Meh, that's all

Got some good items today. 360 dollars for everything. The Wii U seems to be completely unused, everything is still in the plastic/foam.

Everything is super clean! The guy i'm buying from gets absolutely insane stuff in often, so I've been going every weekend. He had a sealed Conker's Bad Fur Day that he had got in this morning.

A few months ago a guy I know told me about a convention center about an hour and a half away from me that holds a massive yard sale. I got myself a hotel room and drove down last night. I did alright, found some items. Also got to drive around the town and hit up pawn shops, thrift stores, etc. I just wish that people understood "yard sale" does not mean "retail booth" but I digress.

image
Bloodsport and MK are sealed and were $1 each. 1883 is also sealed and was a quarter. Sonic was a dollar and has the pen (although it is dead). The Wiimotes were at another flea market for $15 each. I figure it was a good deal as they have their sleeves and straps.

image
WWE, GTA, Fallout, and MK were $16 for all. Fallout is sealed. Captain America was free from a pawn shop because it is case/manual only. Alice was $5 and Ferrari was $1.

It’s gonna be hard for me to go garage saling now. I just started a job that requires me to attend a virtual meeting every Friday and Saturday morning. I can go saling around noon when the meetings are over, but that’s usually hours after the sales start. So unless I get lucky or manage to get the sellers to reserve their video games, they might get bought before I can arrive. frown

There are still sales on Thursdays and Sundays, though. Those days are unaffected.
