I really want the Edge but holding out for a v2 with better battery. Should probably just cave.

I was shocked to see this. No way anyone pays for this stuff?! They certainly do. They likely will.

I'm excited about the playstation portal because of how it can turn on and off your PS5 almost as if you pushed the PS button on your dualsense controller. So imagine being away from home, or heck even just in another room on the other side of the house. You pick up your PS Portal and hold the PS button for a sec and it's like you have your PS5 right there with you.
This is especially cool if you still like physical games. My PS4 and PS5 collection I will now consider a portable games collection, as long as this thing works well. I'm thinking of selling my xbox versions and buying PS4 versions of a handful of games I haven't beaten yet. Because I'd much rather play on something like the PS Portal.

I’ve used remote play hundreds of miles from home and it’s good with great internet connections. Wifi is almost not an option for a solid experience. If this remote play was seamless with wifi it would be absolutely worth the cost. I’ve had power outages from storms, cats knocking out plugs etc kill my ability to use it for a week because ps5 powered off.

How is remote play done without wifi though? Cellular data I'm guessing?

I meant with my ps5 on a wifi and not hard wired. I cannot get a solid experience without my home ps5 hardwired. Even with the best wifi signals.
I have used it with cellular on my phone- it was pretty bad.

Yeah, true. Well, maybe black friday it'll see a minor drop, hopefully.

I really hope this is something to do with an upcoming PSVR2 game. 🙏

I hope so! If it was something coming soon wouldn’t they have filed it earlier?

Selfishly, I hope it's full fledged platformer instead of a VR game, but would be amazing if 2 games came out.

Wow that sucks. I guess back to the PS+ Essential when my PS+ Premium expires next July.

The thing is, they have deals on these prices (e.g. black friday I paid $75 for Plus Extra last year). So, it's hard to say if the price now is better than it will be when it's on sale.

I'm not gonna bother renewing my PS Plus or Gamepass once it expires. I don't think they're worth it. Almost never use them

Yikes. I feel really lucky that I took advantage of that window when you could convert all of your years of regular PS+ to premium with a month of PS Now when they first made the switch. I've got PS+ premium until April 2029.

They must be high to think a $20 price hike is just fine and dandy. I too won’t be re-upping my sub once it expires in November. Def not worth it. I hope they lose a lot of subs for this greedy ass move too. And if I ever do Game Pass it’ll just be short term like 1-3 months with a cheap CD Keys code if I ever wanna beat a couple of new games they add.

I had a good year with Plus Extra, played a lot of great games out of the catalog. Saved tons of money because I stopped buying games otherwise mostly. Weirdly, I've been buying more Switch games, though.
At this point, I've played all the games in the plus catalog that I was interested in. So, I'm unsure about continuing. I think I will do another year, but it may feel like a waste unless they add a lot of good stuff to it. I have stuff on my wishlist that I'm hoping will fall into the catalog...

I think a lot of people will balk at the extra/premium prices. That's a steep % increase all at once.
