Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.
Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.

Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?
I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.
Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.
I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.
Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

Quick question. I didnāt care about Breath of the Wild. I tried it and thought it was good but I didnāt go back to it after a couple of hours. Should I get/play Tears of the Kingdom?

@BucketofJustice Probably not. It has some differences, but it's very much the same style of game from what I can tell.

The combat apparently remains the same, as does the gameplay. The main attractions here seem to be the vastly expanded over world, the inclusion of dungeons, and the mechanic that allows you to blend weapons/items together. I assume if you didnāt like the core of BOTW, you may not dig this one.

It's BotW with simple crafting. (Simplifed explanation)
Walmart has not shipped. I said fudge it and did the voucher program. Downloading as we speak.

Might as well pick that up since I always seem to have a ton of Platinum points. There are a couple other things I've been thinking about purchasing from the store, so combining them all will help soften the blow of the shipping cost.

I never go to midnight releases anymore because I'm too old for that sh*t. However, I'm taking the day of tomorrow just to play this, and my local GS doesn't open until 11:00. So I'm craving this tonight so I can play first thing tomorrow morning. I hope to get a pretty big chunk of time tomorrow to really dive into this.
