got mine too, those controllers are beautiful. Looks like they come from DA FUTURE! I won't be playing until Friday. Vacuum and charge up controllers tomorrow morning, then play after last day of week Fri morn.

I got mine all set up too. I just finished some work stuff and am eating late dinner, but I’m about to try it out.

Bought a couple of patches. Let's see if they'll finish downloading by the time my movie is over.

If anyone gets fantavision share thoughts please. $29.99 is a little steep. Was hoping/expecting $19.99. As it stands I might just get Kayak and update Rez. There are some demos of Horizon and starwars and some of the bigger games, so that's cool.

Alright. I spent about an hour and a half with Horizon: Call of the Mountain, and it’s pretty impressive. They hit you with some great visuals (a tallneck in VR is just great) in the first segment. The climbing is a lot of fun, and using the bow is pretty intuitive. The scale of everything definitely feels bigger with the expanded field of view and crisper visuals. The biggest positive that I didn’t expect is just how much better the inside out cameras are than using the external camera like with the original PSVR. Also, the tracking with the new controllers (and the feel of them in general) is noticeably better. Although there’s still some clunkiness with all VR stuff, it feels much less burdensome than with my old PSVR. Also, the sound through the default headphones is pretty decent. You can hear the difference between climbing a rope and climbing a pipe. It really adds to the immersion. I haven’t tried my really good headphones yet, but I will soon. I’m really happy with everything so far.

Just seeing this thread. Are PSVR1 games supported when playing on the PS5? Haven't checked anything about it, so I'm just wondering.

Yes if you use a PSVR1 headset, a PS4 camera, and the PS5 adapter.

Yep unforuntately the devs have to make the game playable with PSVR2. And some devs have. Rez, No Man's Sky, several others. I'm still hoping they make Rush of Blood compatible.

In Horizon I put my hands in the water just as the alligator thing went past. Scared the crap out of me. What was also cool was the fabric on the boat. Obviously I can just keep moving my hand in real life but the haptics made it feel like I was pushing against fabric. The visuals plus the haptics tricked my brain into thinking I was hitting fabric xD

Very cool indeed. Yeah the haptic feedback of PS5 is great. Companies just need to actually take time to implement it. With the haptics on the headset. Think about it being raining lightly, but you can feel the little "tip tip" trinkles on your forehead! So many cool things they could do!

Has Sony said anything about when we can expect these things in retail stores?
I think only being able to get them through Sony is why I was able to convince myself to skip it at launch. If I could get one by just walking into a Best Buy or Walmart, I likely wouldn't have been able to resist the urge and I'd probably have one right now.

I also saw UK? GameStop was offering good trade in towards these. Like extra 50% on some items. Hopefully here too.

finally tried it out. Tried Kayak, was awesome. But I kept getting the grid (I'm guessing boundary warning screen) so I'm gonna watch a youtube video how to shut that off. I could feel my right hand rubbing against my curtain, but I don't care. I'm careful, I trust myself not to hit the end table or anything.

Apparently the physical version of After The Fall for the original PSVR doesn't allow you to upgrade to the PSVR2 version for free. You had to have bought the digital version to get the free upgrade.
So far this doesn't apply to other games offering free PSVR2 upgrades, so I don't know what the issue is with this one.
It seems the developers are giving free download codes if you DM them with proof of purchase that you own the physical version on original PSVR and a receipt of your PSVR2.

Light Brigade is amazing so far. Shooting a gun with these controllers is next level immersion and feels great.
