Using the below ranking system as an example, who can recommend some other C tier NES games? These won't be hidden gems, just games you have played that you had fun with in spite of any flaws and general mediocrity, and would ultimately recommend to others... S - Legend of Zelda, Ninja Gaiden, Mario 3, Mega Man 2, 3, Contra A - Life Force, Mario 1-2, Micro Machines, Kirby's Adventure, River City Ransom B - Kung-Fu, TMNT, Rygar, Super C. C - Wrath of the Black Manta, ??? D - ... E - ...
Ikari III The Rescue. It's painfully generic but the enemy placement makes it fun. The AI is so stupid and only attacks directly how they're supposed to it's almost like a stealth game where you sometimes slowly pull aggro and sometimes just run to push as many enemies as possible off the screen.

I don't know what tier Cobra Triangle falls in, but that is a game my brothers had fun playing. I enjoyed watching them as a kid, they had some mad skills.

Thanks again for all the C Tier NES suggestions!... I think it's a fun category to discuss because with so many titles on the Nintendo Entertainment System there is a decent chance that even collecting veterans might become newly aware of a game that gives them some joy in spite of flaws.

e.g. you aren't going to find T&C II, Ikari III or Wrath of the Black Manta on many (any?) greatest NES games or hidden gems lists.

Some suggestions so far that would seem to fairly safely fall into C category... T&C II, Ikari III, Amagon, Batman, Rescue Rangers, Wrecking Crew, Monster in my Pocket, Cobra Triangle (?)...

I think I will also throw City Connection in there... it's a fairly simple earlier arcade-type game IMO that can be a bit hard to put down if you like a challenge.

Keep em coming

Time Lord, The Immortal, TMNT (should definitely be C-tier), Zelda 2 (borders on B-tier but I'm still salty), Astyanax, Rush 'n Attack, Super Spy Hunter, Rad Racer, Simon's Quest, Faxanadu, put Batman in B-tier.

Sorry to contradict you, DarkFact, but Zelda II is S+ tier.

(The only S+ game in existence, in fact. It's an exclusive tier.)

Collecting old guides because "there's valuable information in there!" is just the gaming version of compulsive hoarding.

I did around Paprium, until it started smelling fishy, at which point I promptly requested and was granted a refund. Now I don't give a crap about anything that isn't for sale (because it's RELEASED)
