Sony will probably drop the bomb at E3.

I really hope this is true. Spyro is one of the few platformers I actually enjoyed as a kid so I'd be all over this remaster.

IGN said its supposed to be announced within a month, so unlikely an E3 announcement.

That article states the same, but I just don't see it. Seems like E3 would get more press.

Spiro went multiplatform after the first few games as did Crash.

Even though, for me Crash will always be PlayStation because they actually had the only good ones same with Spyro imo.

I'm along the same lines. Sonic is a good example. I loved all the games on Genesis, but when I tried the SEGA collection on PS3 it just felt off.

Spyro was a good series. Crash I thought was overrated.

I have never played Spyro but I've heard good things. I agree with Crash. It felt like a mediocre DKC clone. The difficulty mostly came from bad physics, view point (couldn't tell where you were landing), and controls which resulted in lots of frustration. Not really my cup of tea.

That's exactly how I feel about Crash. Wonky controls, unfair jumps, poor viewpoint, and frustration.

I think the remaster looks really nice - but it's an old game that hasn't aged well.

I guess they didn't have the original source code any longer when doing the remaster for Crash so they had to rebuild it from scratch. In doing so, they didn't get the physics right which resulted in the game becoming more difficult than it was on the PSX, so I'm going to guess that if the PSX version already had frustrating controls, then the remaster is even worse. Having a game be difficult just because the controls suck really isn't a game that has my interest.

I didn't play much of the original series, but I remember disliking it a fair amount. I thought trying the new version would be better - but I hated it.

I wasn't aware they rewrote it from scratch however. Interesting to hear....

I played the original about 2 years ago and found it more frustrating then difficult or particularly fun. Looking back now, its easy to see why Crash never got as big as Mario even though he was presented as the more "mature" alternative to video game mascots.

Sweet. I never got a chance to play the entire Spyro Trilogy back in the day. I'll be happy to return to it soon.

I loved the new Crash remaster. Even with some of the nearly impossible segments. That's what made it great. Relentless yet rewarding once you overcome the challenge. Just like some of the games from childhood.

You're in for a treat, man. The original trilogy is some of Insomniac Games' best work.

Same, loved it. I had the same feeling when I bought it and played it for the first time as I did when I bought my first Psone and Crash went over to my grandmother's and played it.

It was a truly fantastic remaster. Considering they had to rebuild it from the ground up they stayed remarkably true to the original. I give full marks for that! This game does not hold your hands and maybe some people got used to platformers doing that? I don't know. The game has its issues but Crash was awesome and still is. I never did play the crap that came out when it went multiplatform... In a perfect world Naughty Dog would buy the IP from Universal?. I know Crash is not perfect and has its issues but I don't give one fudge! This Crash reboot is an absolute gem and by far my favorite game purchase this gen!
