So a sealed NES game of mine has been collecting dust for nearly 15 years...

So I was in a consignment store in the mid 2000's. And I saw a sealed Tetris NES for maybe 2-3 bucks. So I picked it up.
I haven't checked the value in a long time. But I'm glad I held it. But I kind of forgot I had it. I just listed it on ebay.
My question is how much can I realistically get for this. Box is pretty decent shape. Some wear on the plastic.
Here's the kicker too. It has a EB games sticker on it.
I don't know whether that would raise the value or lower it. I have reasons why that can go either way.
I have it up for a good amount right now. But I'm curious on what's the lowest I should accept.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

It really depends on condition and the available comps condition/price. I learned pretty quick people will pay top dollar on eBay for very good-excellent sealed Nintendo games. The stuff I've listed that were like a 8-9/10 I listed $100 or more above anything else on eBay and they all still sold in 1-2 days. Don't let people talk you down. Some one will pay top dollar for it. I think you range would be $600-$1000 given recent sold comps. Its hard to say from your pics, but if it were mine I wouldn't take less than $800. Even if it sits for a few months, let it sit. Someone will pay you your price.
Also the price sticker doesn't matter. Don't let someone talk you down because of it. I men it might matter to some people, but it doesn't lower the value any.

You need to send it to Wata and have it graded. Then you can raise the price about 2000%

Lunar is right - you're going to want to have it graded...however, it looks like the box might have some rough condition. The EB games sticker is a "blemish" and would lower the rating. It's hard to say if its even worth getting it graded since the pictures make it look pretty rough - if the rating is too low, it may not be worth it.
I'm by no means an expert in sealed NES games, but after 15 minutes of solid research, if you could get $400-500 for it, I'd take it. Pack the hell out of it to ensure it stays in the best possible condition as well.

Yeah. I thought about getting it graded.
When I do sell this. What's the best way to pack it for shipping?

Bubble wrap and double box if you're really worried. No bubble mailers. I wouldn't cheap out on it. Expect it to be thrown/dropped.

$400 is way too low. I still say $600 if he is desperate, $800+ if he is patient. The sticker isn't that big of a deal. I never had to discount my sealed games because of the sticker. And I sold some with bigger stickers than that. Trust me, this will sell for close to your asking price if you are patient. I think 8 months was the longest I had to leave something up before I got my price.
As for packing, I always double box. I use the 12x12 or whatever that size is for the outer box. Make sure to account for $15-$20 in insurance as well.

What I would do is remove the "best offer" and see if you can get your asking price. If it doesn't sell within a month or two drop it $50. You want to get as much money as you can.

Regardless if you get it graded or not, I'd say if you're not in a hurry to sell it, let it sit at the price you're at and see what happens. See what kind of attention it gets.
If it happens to take awhile, and you think it's taking too long, you can always lower your price. But if you were to lower it now and then it sells very quickly, you might end up feeling like you could have gotten more.
If you're not in a rush, let it sit and see what happens.

Yeah. I'm definitely not in a rush. I don't mind letting it sit for a while. I'm going to see what offers I get.
I do think $400 is a bit low for the game. I think I can definitely get more got sure

It's insane that such a common game goes for so much sealed. But I guess there just aren't many of them left nowdays. Good luck on the sale!

It isn't graded so I'd expect it to top out at $500.
Post over on videogamesage. There's some deep pocket private collectors over there.

I would rather sell it to you than some random person on ebay.
I don't know. Maybe we could work out something involving a trade or something.

That's kind of you man, thanks. If I end up getting this from metsfan it's going to be the center piece of the Tetris collection.
