Description

Harvest moon is a compelling in-depth RPG, with a beautiful, rich environment and fluid Gameplay. I am really enjoying this game.

Premise
Harvest Moon is an RPG where you don't actually kill anything, you live the life of a respectable farmer, living off the land. You will get married, and even have a son.

Graphics
This game is so crisp, it has great graphics. The graphics seem to be cartoon-like and yet realistic at the same time. I found myself stopping and going into first-person mode and just looking around. It has a great environment. It's like its own world where nobody is over 5 feet tall.

Sound
This game has a good ambiance. The music is great, it does not distract from the game much, which should be where you are paying attention to the most; not the music. I don't like the fact that there is no voice acting what so ever. Basic reading ability is needed to fully enjoy this game.

Gameplay
I found this game to be the best Harvest Moon game yet, it just seems so complete and in-depth. I have found nothing really that it seems to be missing, The seeding in this game is terrific as you can make many types of seeds and plants. This game still has many mysteries to be revealed.

Time passes very well in this HM. In the other HM games I have played, it seemed like time went by too fast. 1 second = a minute, 1 minute = an hour, 24 minutes in a day, 4 hours in a month, 16 hours in a year. It seems pretty good, just long enough to get things done.

It's as if the people are in an actual town and they live in the town. They go in and out of the buildings freely. Although it does seem like they say the same things over and over again like a Tickle-Me-Elmo doll, but thats how video games are. They do respond pretty well if you show them an item. They will comment on it, and not even the same comment each and everytime.

Plot
There really is no plot. You live the life of a farmer, therefore you control it. It has great situational humor, mainly around the scientist, Daryll. His experiments are great. The game really doesn't make you go to events, they really just happen when you trigger something, like going into a certain building, or being friends with a certain person, which is good.

Overall
I REALLY love this game. You know, like in love, but not really IN love. The kind of love that is illegal if you were in the state of New York. This game has a great replay value. I know I will have some sleepless nights over this. It may not seem like watching grass grow is fun, but this game makes it a blast.
