Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft

The original Tomb Raider trilogy remasters are set to release in Feb with the terrible name "Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft". $30 for all 3 seems ok and I think it might be neat to replay these with modern controls.
There's just been so little news and details about this set, and the 1 trailer looks barely remastered, just a little cleaner/higher-res. I'm hoping for more details soon since it's almost out.

I think that's the best kind of remaster, like Ocarina of Time on 3DS. You look at screenshots and think, "Well, that doesn't look very different" and then you compare it side by side and realize how much of an improvement it is.

I think all games should include the name of the protagonist as an appendage to the title.
Tomb Raider starring Lara Croft
Puyo Puyo starring Arle
Hudson's Adventure Island starring Master Higgins
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate starring not Waluigi

It would help with some games...
Zelda starring Zeld... I mean Link
Metroid starring Metr... I mean Samus Aran
Kid Icarus starring Icar.. I mean Pit.
I guess after doubling down on Mario (Super Mario Bros starring Mario Mario) they decided to be a little more mysterious.

I mean, you can’t give away everything in the title. I get it. Sonic the Hedgehog starring Sonic the Hedgehog is a little on the nose. Spider-Man starring Peter Parker, though… there’s something there. Not so much for Spider-Man Miles Morales starring Miles Morales, though.

Gotham City Imposters starring not Batman and not Joker should also be included.

I still think Tomb Raider Anniversary on X360 looks a little better, but maybe a simple resolution bump overcomes that.
I don't think these games look great, although given the gameplay and geometry limitations of the original releases I think I'm going to enjoy the straight-forward style of these. I remember some of the puzzle rooms felt overly complex at the time but they probably seem more obvious now.

Diddy Kong & Dixie Kong in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest Starring Not Donkey Kong.
I'm going to wait until the collection is released. The tank controls of the original releases make them a chore to go back to.
If they modernized the controls a bit, I could see myself picking this up on Xbox or PS5.
Edit: Just read the article jays1fan posted. "modern and classic control options". Good to know!

Do we know yet if they're going to sell the remastered Tomb Raider games individually or only as a bundle?

I haven't heard anything about separating, it looks like it's only being sold as all 3.

I'm surprised they went with remasters of the trilogy instead of just the first two games. Tomb Raider III was where you could tell the series was starting to decline in quality, and it being a different development team might have had something to do with that.

For me personally I loved the first 5 on Playstation equally well. Heck its the reason why I bought a playstation.
And Getting it every year from my dad for christmas holds a special place as well.
it wasnt until Angel Of Darkness on PS2 that I was somewhat disappointed lol.
I hope the remake or redo The Last Revlations, Chronicles and Angel all on 1 next.
