Currently has a May 12 2023 release date. That's just over 4 months away. That's not so far, but there isn't that much known about it.

Here's a video that has the reveal trailer and other info that has so far been released.

https://youtu.be/30D...

Is it unusual for such an anticipated title that's only several months away to not have much known about it?

I don't usually follow games along their pre-release stages, so perhaps a lack of info is standard.

Personally, I'd rather a lack of info when it comes to games that I plan on playing. I don't care for spoilers, or to watch every trailer that comes out.

I'd have thought there'd be more out about it though. But again, I don't usually follow along with the progress of game development.

Definitely a game I'm looking forward to though.

Yeah, definitely possible, just not very realistic. It didn't sound to me like he was wanting to Google where he could go raid some high-powered weapons, he was just trying to fight them with what he has currently. You're right. I don't have very strong weapons currently. Strongest is a +26 sword, because it's fused with one of the wiggly. night skeleton parts. They pack a punch.

And you're also correct that I wasn't looking to Google where to find strong weapons/etc. I'm currently playing the game as is. No googling unless I really can't figure something out.

Lynels pretty sure I saw something they hate tech, drop some and they freak and attack it, not you. Octorocks, I remember them sucking up stuff in BOTW but I dont remember what happened to it but the Rock Octorock suck your weapon up and spit it out stronger, then go to another and its a multiplier. Goron has a few near one another. See Octorock and then smack a Lynel! That Octorock trick in BotW was great. Is there logic behind it? Canon maybe?

I was NOT equipped for that battle. I didn't even try. I tried running away. But ice beam was super effective. 1 hit KO.

Frost Gleeok. Found it by accident while exploring.

Woah! Pretty sweet. Didn't expect this kind of item. The devs did some pretty cool stuff in this game. I bet I could make something awesome with this.

Just beat my first Gleeok on my way to finding Zelda’s horse. Big frosty boy. Followed the instructions suggested by @BloodPuppetX and made liberal use of keese eyeballs and arrows. I ran out of homing eyes, so by the final phase of the fight I needed to rely on my aim as I slowed down time falling through the air, using keese wings for maximum distance.

Pretty satisfying to take one of those guys down. Felt like a legitimate fantasy BATTLE, more than some of the true bosses even.

Story-wise, I’m right at the end. I think I only have the final showdown to complete, so I’m focusing entirely on side quests and exploration for now. I don’t want the game to be over.

I also built my “dream house” recently. Pretty neat, if not entirely necessary. Nice to have everything I need in one spot but tbh that’s also the case if I visit a town or stable, just without needing to pay for a bed. But even then, it’s free to sleep at Lookout Landing.

Since this style Zelda is apparently going to be the blueprint for 3D Zelda going forward, I’d honestly like them to add a few more “casual” elements to the gameplay. Along with more NPCs, NPC houses and towns, it’d be neat if there were some sort of “friend” mechanic, so Link could eventually host parties/gatherings at his house or receive invites to others. Maybe some perks/items are only unlocked by using this social mechanic. Wouldn’t mind a little easygoing, Animal Crossing style gameplay meshed in when you don’t feel like investing in an action packed quest on any given day.

I have 6k+ rupees and haven’t used any dupes or work arounds. I just sell off the rocks I get and haven’t had an issue so far.

Got some more time this weekend with it and got through the water temple. That was pretty fun and probably my favorite temple. That just leaves the sand temple. Many of the side quests feel repetitive, but at least some of them have some good rewards like armor pieces.

Had my first encounter with Shadow Ganon and was completely taken by surprise. I quickly died, but when I came back to life, I couldn't find him.

Found myself exploring Thunderhead Isles, I think before I’m supposed to since I could barely see anything. Stumbled upon a late game quest I imagine since it involved a sage and now I’m in the depths trying to finish said quest.

85 shrines down.

Okay so I’ve done a complete 180 on this game. Wasn’t digging it but now I’m hooked. I’m not a big puzzle guy so when I find a shrine I only solve it if I’m in a puzzling mood lol.

Any advice on how to find more armor sets? I got a quest to find three chest pieces for climbing, the barbarian one and shock resist, but then have no idea how to find the rest, is it just good to explore caves to find more?

Caves are the best place to look. With every cave having a bubble frog you need to explore pretty thoroughly. Some are hidden extremely well though. I said nuts to all that and looked them up. I don't think I'd have ever found the entire climbing set without doing so. Even looking it up it was still a pain to get.

Yeah may just look some things up eventually like I did with elden ring.

Also, just got the auto build after doing two of the main dungeons and getting most of the way towers and tears. What a game changer!!

Regarding cave locations

If you see a large cherry blossom tree, head over to it and offer up a piece of fruit.
