@Anxiouz and @beavis you both had mentioned buying a Pulse 3D headset around the time I did. What are your impressions of it after having a few weeks to use it? I still have some kind of signal interference with mine, unless I'm sitting very close to the console. When I used it on my PC (roughly 5 feet away from my TV and PS5) I had no issues with that even when I'd walk to the next room still wearing the headset. Though I think the microphone quality is not as good as in other headsets of the same price, but I don't use voice chat that much anyway.
Another thing about the headset that disappoints me is that they don't have an app like they did with their PS4 headset, where you can automatically apply settings that are made to sound better with certain games (or even just genres).

With all the internet connection issues I was having I decided to use mine wired. Never went back after I decided to direct connect my PS5 to the router. The headset audio was having some issues even connected a few days ago, but it stopped after that. When I was using it wireless I don't recall having any drops in audio. I don't think it is worth full price but it was worth what I paid for it on sale.

PS5 is the ONLY system that has connection issues.
Not always common but it definitely has issues compared to my series X and bith my switches and everything else in my house, which doesn’t have a problem

Honestly, I don't use it very often. I do like it and haven't had connection issues other than sometimes when in the menus (not in a game) I'll hear a little something like it lost connection and then reconnected real quick. I don't really do multiplayer so I can't comment on the mic quality.
I think it's a nice headset and sounds good. I just don't always feel like using it. I do think it makes a nice difference in the experience though. Being able to really tell which direction something is coming from is very noticeable.

I did like that but kinda dig what Sony did on the PS5 better. Instead of having to go into that app to select the game settings you want, it's all in-game now. When in a game that has specific support for the headset, in the Audio menu of the game when you change the output source to the headset, it applies the custom settings.
But if the game doesn't have that support built-in, then you don't have the app to fall back on to make custom changes so that kinda stinks.

I’ve had Marvel: Midnight Suns pre-ordered from Target since June, it came out on December 2nd, and the estimated arrival date just changed again to January 4th. Target is the worst.

I'm still playing a lot of Horizon: Forbidden West and there are times the audio sounds really good, with little details I wasn't noticing when using the TV speakers. I rarely fast travel in the game, I just like running or riding a machine to the destination and listening to the various wildlife in the areas. Fighting the machines sounds really good too, especially with the bass boost enabled.
So far this is the only PS5 game I've played with 3D audio but I'm hoping to find some others. I assume most multiplatform games don't bother supporting it, just like most of them don't use the DualSense features in any meaningful way.

I've actually been mostly catching up on PS4 games I missed (or haven't played in years). The directional gunfire in Uncharted 4 is really good with the headset. And in Days Gone you hear zombie noises all the time (in general), but with the headset you can tell how close/far they are and in which direction. That made a big difference.

I find a decent amount use it ok. CoD audio is amazing and they use the DualSense really well too. I use Arctis Nova 7X and they make really good use of the 3D audio and it really sounds awesome in a lot of games.
I'm wondering how Elden Ring both sounds and feels with the controller.

I used the Pulse headset for most of the weekend and am now much more impressed. What I like the most is that I can clearly hear dialogue, sound effects, and music all distinctly and all super clear. I have a decent TV but usually keep the volume tame so this was so much better and I no longer needed to have subtitles on in some games where I found that helpful to catch things I miss.
I did have a lot more connectivity issues though and had to move the usb dongle to the front of the PS5. My PS5 is only about 5' from my chair, but it's a bit behind the TV. Moving the dongle to the front fixed it but was super annoying to have it cutout every 20-30 seconds for just a hair.
It was never this bad before so I def think it's 2.4GHz noise...which makes sense as its our default wifi channel for guests (we had the in-laws over) and neighbors prob had some new devices from Christmas doing stuff. Or the dongle isn't a strong signal and easily disrupted by anything in front of it (including the PS5 itself). These are my working theories.

How in the hell does the $200 DualSense Edge have a WORSE battery than the DualSense? Jfc... The elites battery is incredible.
Cancelling my pre-order. That's some crap.

Is it really? Wow. I think 12 hours for the standard controller is already awfully optimistic. I can't imagine it being worse, and still degrading. I think the standard is expected to degrade down to like 6-8 hours per charge. The Edge being worse means it might not even survive a single (albeit lengthy) sitting after a little while. Yikes.

Yep, the edge is 4-10 hours... What in the actual fudge. $200! I'll wait for an updated version.

Ive never played that many hours straight to count the hours. Honestly I feel like the controller leaches power when not in use and that makes it seem bad. I cant prove it but it feels like I charge the controller, play a few hours then a Few days later turn it on and its low on bat.

Absolutely it does. I see the same. I just buy cheap 6 foot cords on Amazon. It feels wireless.

I use 2 controllers with a dual charging station. It keeps them charged while I'm not playing and I can swap if the one I'm using runs out (rare). I also play co-op games with my wife. It works well.
