Surprised we don't have anything going on this topic. See if it goes anywhere, but I came here to ask for support on the Oculus/Quest.
Family got me a Quest 2 for my bday. I've been holding out for the next release and/or PSVR2, but eh, I'll take it!
Suggestions for best games to play on it?
I picked up a few accessories too:
- Strap with Battery and Carrying Case - https://www.amazon.c...
- Fat Sweaty Man Visor - https://www.amazon.c...
Any others I should be looking at?
Thanks!

Half-life Alyx and Beat Saber are pretty much mandatory plays. I enjoyed both Moss and Cards & Tankards. Accounting+ is weird but worth a look and Job Simulator is a fun game that my daughter really loves.
Keep an eye on Fanatical.com for VR bundles.

My fam got me a Quest 2 for my bday (just recently) as well haha. I don't have a PC so I can't play some of the PC Link stuff like Half Life or the Lone Echoes that I wish I could.
So far I've liked:
Red Matter (super chill, no enemies, great starter game)
Synth Riders (more forgiving than beat saber)
Youtube VR - loads of stuff flying over major cities (pyramids of egypt, paris, petra, etc.)
Tentacular
I loved Astrobot on PS and unfortunately there aren't many platformers like that. I'm prob going to try Lucky's Tale and/or Ven VR Adventures next ($20 each).
Pistol Whip and The Room VR ($30 each) are on my list but I'm waiting on sales for those.

I'm interested in opinions on the elite strap and battery. So far I'm not playing for more than 2 hours but I hear the strap is more comfortable. And not being capped at 2 hours or whatever would be nice.

My brother has it and I've used his, it definitely seems worth it.

You can hook up the Quest to a computer. It allows you to run games from the computer video card, as well as shows on screen what you are looking at.

You can even run it over your wifi if it's fast enough.

@DemonAlcohol awesome! OEM cable is $80! Seeing some generic alternatives. I have a kickass home WiFi though, so I'll try that first.

Ok you NEED to get Eleven Table Tennis. It’s all i play on quest 2, even though there’s so much other cool crap I bought (including Beat Saber and Resident evil 4)
If you’re disappointed I’ll personally paypal you the cost (but you can just refund it within 2 weeks/max 2 hr playtime AFAIK, for all the games)
If you get it let me know and we can play a couple rounds too

I second Accounting+. It’s super weird but really interesting. If you get it, do all of the achievements, because there is some cool additional content that you only get by figuring out a few secrets.

@Anxiouz just opened mine finally. The default head strap is definitely crap in comparison (at least for a giant head).

I got the Kiwi elite strap or whatever it’s called and it was a gamechanger. Only thing I like about original strap is how compact the whole system is with it, this makes it much bulkier…but so much more comfortable, and easier to adjust

Actually, the elite strap is good... But I want to find something better. My head is gigantic and I just barely fit in, not enough room to keep glasses on either. Looks like Kiwi is a big player. Trying to find a combo strap and battery.

I have a Quest 1. I'm really liking Walkabout Mini Golf. It gives you 8 themed courses that are great. When you make par on a course, you unlock a pretty wicked hard mode for that course. There are also 4 extra courses you can buy.
Job Simulator, FX pinball, and Moss are also great games.
