You sometimes can go by TFs though. Stadia was supposed to be more powerful than a little less than 2 X1Xs and the reason why its not doing full 4k now is because that part isn't really ready. Google was retarded and launched the thing pretty much in beta. You do see differences between some games on the PS4 Pro and X1X though which shows the higher TF console pushing games like RDR2 at full 4k vs Pro's checkerboard and lower quality visuals. I think if they made a pro and only went like 1.5x OG Switch's power it would be a terrible move because at that point you're at pretty much X1's power and that console hardly hits 900p these days.

I don't think having an additional little nub ala new 3ds is quite the same as saying, hey this particular game will only run the better/higher performing switch.

3DS XL, and they sold a crap ton of them. I don't see why they wouldn't do a pro. They will definitely limit games that can't run on the pro though.
The pro's definitely coming but I don't think they're going to release games that don't run on the baseline system. I liked the N3DS too, but people are stupid.

SAME! Bluetooth is my biggest thing. I travel a lot and hate having to carry an extra set of (worse) headphones just for the switch

Bluetooth functionality on Switch would be amazing. I am not a fan of being wired up with headphones anymore.

I love my wired headphones. I have wired ones but I always lose them and when I find them they're always dead and need to be charged.

I'm currently using Bluetooth with Vita, how is it that an inferior system supports a ubiquitously supported format and Nintendon't?

I love Ninty to death but they always seem to be behind in something, tech wise. They're like Apple having a feature on a latest upcoming iPhone model that Android phones had years ago.

Nintendo seems like they're really not good when following other developer's lead when it comes to tech but when they're doing their own thing thats when they really shine. Its one of the reasons why I think they're never going to need to chase console power again and will only do enough to keep the 3rd party devs happy.

I want them to keep up just enough so I can get portable downgraded 3rd party ports. Which is why I want Switch Pro.

I think I'm rehashing an old topic but. Does anyone else feel Switch just feels more collectable than PS4/XBOX these days? I think the last console that felt collectable to me was PS2/CUBE. PS2 mainly because of the amount of RPGs. But I've felt this way ever since the DS. The DS, PSP always felt more collectable than Wii/PS3.
What do you mean by collectible? Horde things on the shelf and try not to touch them for many years as they gain value? Or just gather more and more games and build a library vs selling/trading games more quickly?
I think what the Switch does well is that since it's portable people are more likely to hang onto games because it's nice to have some choices when traveling. I fudging hate Arms but if I'm gonna be stuck on a plane with my son, it may come in handy. So it's not going anywhere even though we don't play it because daddy curses too much.
But if this about putting a sealed copy of Mario Odyssey on the shelf and never opening it...then no.

I mean more just like building a small library of good games to display on the shelf AND play. I just like the Switch portable as a console more.

You guys are nuts dreaming of 4k on Switch Pro. There's no way they're doing that given that it's the current norm to hit 720p handheld, maybe 1080p docked. The increases needed for 4k (even just docked) would be a next-gen hardware leap. And it wouldn't really help the visual impression when games are as stylized as Luigi's Mansion 3. There's no real need for 4k tbh.
I think the Pro is gonna be about lower power consumption, fixing the fudging trash joycon reliability, and speeding up load times. If that's all they do, at $350-$400 it'll sell.

ya thats what im saying, the ps4 pro cant even do it. youre talking about a portable X1X and its not happening. 1080p docked would be pretty legit though, id be down.

The power draw from that thing in portable mode at 4k would require a battery that you would need to wear like a back pack. Just look at the X1X and how well it was built, now you're talking about shrinking that thing down to around the size of the Switch.....thats crazy talk. Something like that won't exist for probably 10 years, and by then it would probably be ran off the cloud.
