Surge came out today. so far not bad. very nioh and bloodborn feel as in fast combat. switching limbs takes some getting used to.

Phantom Dust remaster is supposed to be out today for free.

injustice came out today as well. grabbed that on my ps4 though,

Games usually stick around for about a year unless they're 1st party and then they're on there forever. You can look to see when the game will be removed most of the time by selecting the game and it should say when its going to be available thru, or at least what month it was added and then just assume that it will be removed 1 year from that point. If you like a game thats on GP then you get 20% off of it, and if you want any of the DLC then its 10% off. that applies to every game.

Looks like we may be seeing more of Control at GDC. They just released a new gameplay demo. Looks pretty good. I like the whole telekinesis power spin. Seems like Remedy is sticking with it's supernatural theme from Quantum Break. Any game that makes me have force powers and makes me feel like a Jedi is A-OK by me. yes

QB had some great gameplay. If this plays anything like that then I'm pretty interested in it.

MS Rewards is having a sale to where you can get 3-months of GP for 13,500 points, pretty sweet deal. I was able to redeem 15 months worth so I should be good for a while.

Damn, I'm not even sure how you get points rapidly. I only have like 1,300. It says I can do surveys and stuff to boost it up, but I probably won't get anywhere close to 13,500 before the deal ends on GP. It's a shame too, I could use it since my GP is gonna expire in a month.

I get my points by using Bing and I get all the daily points to keep the streak going and then I get the mobile points every night right before bed. I have 3 years of XBL already and I've not paid for GP for about a year, now I won't have to pay any more for 1.25 years more.

Wonder if you can stream emulators from the PC to your X1. If so that would be amazing.
do it with retroarch so you can reduce input lag https://www.youtube....

just note that the guy that made the video is counting wrong, it should be 1 instead of two K presses you should count after the first k press.

You don't need to use a front-end to reduce input lag. Most emulators have extremely low input delay regardless, and all of them have settings to reduce it at the cost of emulation performance (buffers make sure crap's good before it hits your eyeballs and speakers). And we're literally talking tens of milliseconds here, not something realistically measurable or noticeable in the grand scheme of things.

One thing you will NOT get around is the encode/decode time between the PC and the Xbox, which will be substantial, even on a local network, assuming there's extremely low delay input to OS (multiple data streams so inputs aren't tied to the A/V stream since they don't need to be). And if you don't have a hardwired Gigabit infrastructure end to end, you're really going to be taxing yourself to get something usable. I'd like to try it out but I'd have to interrupt my roomie's evening routine to do so, and frankly all I'd do is play Yakuza anyways. raspberry

New GP additions today include Vampyr, which I really enjoyed despite it's flaws and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided another game I hold in such high esteem. GP is killing it as of late.

Vampyr
Walking Dead: Michonne
What Remains of Edith Finch
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Operencia
Marvel VS Capcom: Infinite (yuck)

I had never heard of Operencia so I looked it up. Seems to be a dungeon crawler RPG that will become available to GP on launch. Damn, MS killing it with GP lately, the additions have been really good.

Just realized Deus Ex is another Square-Enix title. The love affair continues. I wonder if we will see FF games on GP soon.

so far it seems like Squeenix's GP offerings are its slightly less successful and the kind of non rpgs? but you never know it could happen I suppose. id think they would be less likely to add the longer rpgs til they are a little older so as not to hurt sales, at this point it doesn't hurt Deus Ex and apparently JC4 wasn't doing so well anyway.

That's right, I guess Square wants to weed out all the games that haven't met sales expectations and seeing as though FF games are a hot topic now, with the remasters and all, it probably wouldn't make sense to let them onto GP right away.

Probably won't see a new FF game on it since its SE's best selling franchise. These other games we probably will which is evident with what we've gotten added recently. No complaints from me, especially seeing as how I haven't really enjoyed a FF game for quite a while now.

There is a noticeable difference, try playing games like punch out or the old mario games i noticed the lag right away. retroearch makes it easy to improve that and also to add a nice shader.

The front ends like RA aren't doing anything the emulators can't do themselves. RA is not making your input delay go away, it's telling the emulator to do it, which it can do itself. If anything RA is always going to be less robust than the emulator it hides behind closed curtains.

So who else can't wait for E3 for Phil Spencer to whip out his big MS peen to slap Google silly with this whole Sadia nonsense?

Today Spencer said that right now XCloud is running off of speeds as low as 5mbps and with 10ms of lag. Xcloud also has the advantage of not needing any additional coding to get a game into the cloud network, if a dev makes a game for Xbox then its natively compatible with XCloud right off the bat.
