How in the hell did I miss this kickstarter?!? This has been such a f'ing amazing game! I'm near full game completion and just went and picked up one of the 4000 kickstarter CE's via ebay. I have had such a blast with this and can't wait for the new dlc!
I've been staying up till 2-4am the past few days playing. This is definitely one of those games that I just can't put down. If you haven't played yet, make it a priority!
This game absolutely makes it into my top 25!

"Before June of... 2023", boooo! Still, would rather it be finished, polished, and outright amazing. Hollow Knight is one of very few modern games I've replayed, and I'll probably do it again.
Polygon: Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to PlayStation, too.

Silksong was supposed to be out before June... They've been quiet lately, not a great sign.
With TotK, FFXVI, and Diablo 4 all releasing in the same time frame, not an ideal window for Silksong to launch!

I didn't know Silksong was supposed to be out before June. When was that stated? I thought there had just been radio silence for a long time now.

Last sentence linked above. "Team Cherry hopes to have it out before June 2023". Nothing remotely firm.

Ah, gotcha When this thread was re-opened, I just jumped to the newest post. I guess I never saw that last post from Bean before it closed.

Well Starfield was also shown in that "playable in the next year" bit and that was a lie.

I mean, in my mind, "hopes to be have it out" is basically the same as "yep, it'll be ready"
They're a small team, totally get it, but I mean, c'mon ... at least give us some updates on what the delay is!

They're basically just like the Cuphead devs, minimal updates but we'll get it when we get it. And it'll probably be good.

June clearly didn't happen, but I missed this update back in May.
Maybe we'll still see it in 2023, but who knows. Would rather they take all the time needed to release an amazing game.
I am debating a third play of Hollow Knight. Truly enjoyed it.

I've heard high praise about hollowknight. I tried it out, but it just wasn't doing it for me. I wanted to like it. After hearing so much praise for it, I was disappointed. It's one thing to try out a game without hearing anything about it beforehand, but it's a bigger letdown when you hear a lot of consistently great things about a game and then it just doesn't add up for you.
Maybe I'll watch gameplay of it, at least experience it that way.
What did people here enjoy so much about Hollow Knight? The question isn't rhetorical in any way. I'm just disappointed and want to understand what other people experienced with the game that was so good.

The first time I tried HK, it didn't hook me either. About a year later I tried it again and LOVED it. But, not too long into the game, I looked up it's length and found that it's a ~50 hour game! I didn't have the time for that length of a game at that point (especially a 50 hour Metroidvania!), so I stopped again. One of these days I'll actually play and beat it.

It was just a really good MV game. Really cool and immersive environments, great music, interesting enemies, challenging combat. It has everything.

It's a great game, but the length is definitely a downside. I feel like Silksong will be the same way.
