Any golfers in here? As a So Cal resident we have the ability to play pretty much year round. I used to play in a lot of tournaments for work events through the spring/summer. Haven't been able to get out much the last couple years with a 2-year old at home and getting busier at work but it’s starting to get a little easier and I’ve actually been playing again a bit recently.
Always been a decent golfer but never took it overly seriously. I learned young with my dad and played a decent amount growing up. Took a long break through college but was playing somewhat regularly for work once I got out of school. I much prefer a casual "best ball/scramble" vs. playing a full round on my own these days. I've never been the worst in a 4-some, rarely the best but pretty much always able to regularly contribute on a team. Last round I played I had a solid back-9 and I hit two 25-30 foot putts to save birdie for us.
Some of the tournaments I play in have really solid raffles/door prizes. The most recent one I played gifted new Titleist drivers, gloves and a bunch of swag. They probably gave away $15K in raffle prizes too for the dinner banquet afterward. Fun to be involved in these events again with a little regularity.

I want to take it up. I've got clubs that were gifted to me, shoes and some other gear. I've played a handful of times, but I really need to work on my swing to be more consistent with hitting straight. My brother plays quite a bit during the summer time when the days are a bit longer, so I'll probably play some more with him.

I go almost every weekend in the summer with a group of guys. But we play different drinking games each time so we don’t take it too seriously.
I think I’m hitting around 120 hah.
Been looking to get new clubs for this summer though, any recommendations?

Love it. Sad we only get 6-7 months in WI. Don't play consistent enough to play well yet though.
