@TerrHeel and I have been friends for at least 10 years now and tonight, we finally met up! I was in his neck of the woods for a work conference. It was our first time meeting in person, but it really didn't feel like it since we've known each other for so long. Plus, we've spent countless hours playing online games together. Mostly Mario Kart, but also a ton of Splatoon, and also Tri-Force Heroes. @TerrHeel is definitely one of the coolest and nicest guys on the site, and it was great to meet up with him and hang out for an evening! We're gonna try to get the families together next time.

Awesome. Looking good guys. Terr and I met up a few years ago when my family was visiting down in SC. Good times.

It was such a good time! We beat The Simpsons arcade game together, had some intense air hockey and foosball battles, and he whooped me in Mortal Kombat. Also relived our old Mario Kart battles in the arcade version, which neither of us had ever tried before. We each won one race by a nose. It was really cool to finally meet after years of interacting here on the site. Can’t wait to do it again!

Both Mario Kart races literally ended with a photo finish, they were so close!

Thats awesome! Always cool to hear about some real world GTZ meet ups!
I've only met up with two myself. Hoping to rally some more in the not too distant future!
Also, @Scott did you come from an interview, or you heading to the spring formal? You're looking all snazzy! Glad you guys had fun.

Awesome. Gotta love gtz. Hands down one of the best sites I joined.
Nice shade of purple, that shirt. It's like a royal purple.
You both actually beat the Simpsons arcade? Cool. I used to play that at a local place a long time ago. I don't think I got very far in the game though 😅

Scott told me he had played it but never beaten it, so we knew we had to go the distance!

TerrHeel is a wonderful fella. He was my Secret Santa way back during 2015’s July SS (damn we’re getting old) and went above and beyond, always remembered that.

Man that was over eight years ago. Craziness. Love that you remember it! I started on this site when I was 25, single, and living in New York. Now I’m married with three kids in North Carolina. Haven’t been actively collecting since my oldest was born eight years ago, though I still play plenty. Not much of a poster here anymore but I’m still always lurking. It’s amazing that this site has been a part of my life for so long, and now I finally got a chance to meet someone I’ve considered a friend for years. Long live GameTZ!

TerrHeel did a lot of work on editing reviews here years ago. He was quite good at it too.
Scott is just obviously awesome in many ways and I'm sure most of us that follow the forums know what I'm talking about.
It is good to be reminded that work I've done has in some way helped connect good people.

Thanks bill, that feels like a lifetime ago. And absolutely, this is the time of year to be thankful, and I know I speak for a lot of people when I say I’m extremely thankful for this site and everything you’ve done.
