 Post here in the thread that you would like to participate! Send me a PM titled "High Roller Secret Santa 2023 – Registration" The context of the PM must include your address and want list. Please send me your want list ASAP, as that will ensure your partner receives it in a timely manner. Update all of your Wanted lists (on the site here) and send me that list of wants through the same PM titled "High Roller Secret Santa 2023" After you ship your gift, go back to the same PM titled "High Roller Secret Santa 2023" and provide any needed tracking information. You can optionally also send your partner anonymous subtime with a message. After you receive your gift, go back to the PM "High Roller Secret Santa 2023" and say "received" and then be sure to thank your Santa in this topic! |
Details:
| Signups are open now and will continue until Thursday November 30th. Partners will then be assigned and PM'd out within the following couple of days. Gifts must be received by Saturday, December 30th The target gift value for this exchange is $50 USD. Gifts MUST be worth a minimum of $50 US not including shipping. Every effort should be made to send a complete item. If you are sending something used, it should be complete and in at least "very good" condition. This is not a way to unload your unwanted crap. That said, if the recipient is okay with cartridge/disc only, so be it! Unfortunately, because it is too difficult to manage, I will not be allowing international users. If we develop a better management system in the future, I’d love to include everybody! |
Tips/Additional Rules:
Look at your partner's wants and check his/her lists and posts. Put the same effort into selecting a gift for your partner that you would want someone else to put into yours. If your partner has inadequate "wants", don't give up! Try to figure it out. If you really get stuck, try a gift card or something like that! Make sure you provide adequate "wants" for your Santa. There should be at least 4-5 things on your list that fit in the target price/value range. When you get assigned a partner, start figuring out what you are going to get them! Immediately. Don't wait until the last minute! In most cases, the person that you are assigned to is NOT the same person that is assigned to you. In other words, you aren't just making a 1-to-1 exchange with someone. You're buying a gift for someone that, most likely, is buying a gift for someone else entirely. After you've received your gift, post in this thread thanking your Santa for what you received -- just so they know you appreciate whatever it was! (Or, if you've figured out who your Santa is somehow, you can just thank them privately if you'd rather.) Don't leave your Santa hanging without acknowledging their gift! Problematic users will NOT be allowed to participate. Please keep this a drama-free gift exchange  Keep in touch throughout. Communication is key! |

It's a good time if anything and a great way to give back on some of the spoils you may have gotten back into the community.

I have received! My Santa did great! I’m a lover of hot sauce (hot stuff in general) and to be fair I did state the hotter the better and I soooo appreciate they delivered from that perspective. I’m that guy that eats hot Sauce on everything. I’m currently working through Tabasco brand scorpion sauce and I’m no stranger to the Carolina reaper.
I tried the two beef jerky bags on the right in the picture. Top one is scorpion and bottom is reaper. I went reaper first. Good flavor could be a daily driver tbh. The scorpion…. You’ll notice it says powder. Meaning all jerky is covered in scorpion powder. I don’t think I’ve ever had it like this before. That crap is hot! I mean probably the hottest I’ve ever had, hands down. It literally took 10 minutes for my mouth to stop screaming. I had to drink milk… I never have to drink milk. Holly smokes!

My Santa done smashed it outta the park. Got a message today saying to be on the lookout today (and tomorrow - what?!)) and everything that arrived today is already above and beyond and wonderful!
SS sent me a copy of Crisis Core Reunion on the Switch, a bottle of Torchbearer Sauces' Mushroom Mayhem, and some dope HP socks to keep my feet company this winter. I can't wait to close out my current play through of the Mario RPG remake and start up a file on Crisis Core. That one slipped by me with the original release and I've never played it. And I freaking love mushrooms and I have some veggie Japanese-style curry in the fridge that I made this week that I'm thinking this sauce is going to compliment extremely well.

I've been told I'm awaiting 4 items. One showed up recently, a Last of Us Fireflies necklace. I'm not super into jewelry so I'm probably going to use it as a Christmas ornament. I absolutely love it though! Fireflies rock.
If something else arrives and I don't post soon it is because I'll be working about 60hrs (7 days a week) for the next couple of weeks at the store.

Mine is expected to arrive on the 18th. Luckily any packages that don't fit in the USPS mailbox here, they get left at the Lease Office...
Was notified FedEx delivered a package for me which was supposed to be my nephew's Christmas presents.. got home and the package was gone... somebody stole Christmas...

My friend's girlfriend or wife or whatever she is in the relationship at this point bought SMB Wonder and was playing it during our game night and I was like "MAN, this reminds me of Super Mario All Stars Lost Levels kind of thing." and how hilarious it was. I can't wait to play it!!
They also had watched the movie and I tried to watch it but was focused on game night so definitely will be watching this movie soon.

Ive tried to reach out to him myself weve done a trade or 2 and conversed back & forth alot. He has like 2 jobs I believe (maybe 3) that keeps him busy.
I hope he doesnt get stiffed either. Maybe @Frank can pm his assigned SS partner to see what the hold up is?

I think the secret santa stuff people do here is great. I don't want to discourage that. But, I think people haven't been doing them with the offer/trade/rating system, and that's probably best. The more we abuse the trading system, the more we erode the meaning of our good trader stars.
