Looking for one that's reasonably cheap and has these features...
Can call and text WITHOUT your phone
A watch that can control your phone camera
Has a good battery life
Easy to use in general
Can auto-alert emergency if you're in an accident
Would be great if anybody can please post suggestions. Thanks in advance :)

Can you control the camera with the Galaxy Watches? I'm wearing a Watch3 and have a Watch4 that I never switched to because the watch face I wanted didn't exist. But now that face has just stopped working because of changes in Android 14 on my phone. So now I may finally switch to the Watch4...

Yep. I don't use it often, but the camera app on the watch launches the camera app on my S21 and shows the preview with some basic controls

Hmmm... There is no camera app on my Watch3. I'll have to check into it. Thanks.

Oh -- looks like I just need to install the Camera app. It isn't there by default. Interesting. Will give it a go when I have some more time.

Apparently, you can only control a Galaxy phone camera with the Galaxy Watch. No camera app for me (using a Pixel phone). Grrr...

It looks like the Galaxy Watch 4 and up can control the Google Camera app now that they moved to Wear OS instead of Tizen.

I actually found a 3rd party app that seems to work.
Bu, yes, Watch4 and newer move from Tizen to Wear (which is why my watch face isn't compatible and why I haven't switch yet)...
