This dress was brought up in a conversation today, so we found the picture and were comparing our results on what we saw. All I can say is that color perception is an amazing thing.

My wife said purple and blue and my daughter said black and blue and both looked at me like I was crazy.

I see white/a brownish yellow almost as if it were a few hues down from gold itself. The off set color is more of lilac white to me as well.
That's what 20/15 vision says atleast.

I can't see a goldish-white dress at all. Though, I do know the picture is trying to be deceptive with the hard color shift line present on the left side. Over there, I see what looks like a very large folded cow-patterned blanket, trying to come to the foreground by the bottom of the left sleeve, quickly going to the background. I'm guessing that plays into some tie-around for the "other" dress?
