A lot of these may be kind of different or even pricy but it’s mostly because Spotify had me get rid of commons awhile ago. But if anyone is into CDs, I’m opening up more of my collection there, and maybe re adding some vinyl that may or may not have been listed here before.

I’m the same way. I used to work at Starbucks and they give Spotify away to all their employees. Got me hooked for life. Basically the ease of playlists and once you make a good one, you want to keep it forever.
I’ll put it this way, I used to record songs off the radio onto cassette and make my own playlists as a kid. If you told 10 year old me I could do what I do with Spotify in the future, and for the first 5 years your employer will let you use it for free. Well that kids brain would’ve exploded.
Physical CDs are definitely necessary because of video game music. And really most soundtracks and some foreign music. I probably have like 100 CDs that are not on Spotify still.
But I love both. Hell my band from 2002 has a song on there still, as well as my band from 2009-2012. Most of my “common” CDs went away with Spotify though, I just like a TON of music, and it takes up a TON of space….

Oh, yeah, you're absolutely right, music takes up a lot of space. I was just looking at a folder on my computer that has a bunch of music. 528 MB. 1/2 a Gig might not sound like alot, but that's just one folder. Worth it though, to have a large assortment to listen to.
I can definitely relate to the recording thing you mentioned. There have been numerous times where'd I've put time and effort to record a tune, transfer it, etc. Again, worth it. :)
