The Toy Collecting + Figure Photography Thread

A thread for us forever-kids who dig this sort of thing to talk toys, figure photography, collections, etc. Show yours off, I wanna see em.
Obviously not my photos (you can find some of those in the thread), but look at these things:
image
Friggin neat. I should preface this thread by saying I tend to lean toward nostalgic properties/toys and I'm not all that "in" on the figure collecting scene. There are just certain pieces that I need and this TMNT/Power Rangers mash up is like smashing two huge aspects of my 90s kid childhood into one gorgeous project. Only one I'm not mega into is Tommy as the Foot Clan soldier (the Tommy head isn't in the photo). I dig that they brought at least one Power Ranger character into the TMNT world instead of vice versa but Tommy doesn't strike me as a Foot guy. That Shredder/Green Ranger mash up is a legit dream fig though.
But yah, share photos of your stuff or just talk about the toys (upcoming or retro) that interest you, etc etc.

I still take a look at my Waldo books from time to time. I just love crowded art like that.

@bill Just googled, and you bet I do. Thanks for the suggestion. Think I'm gonna snag one of these puzzles tbh.

My nephew has a Star Wars book that lets you search for various characters from the series. Going through it reminded me of how much I love that type of art.
Those Jan Van Haasteren puzzles are really neat!

@willyum I actually have this pretty neat “Where’s the Wookie” box set. Came with the first 2 books, a coloring book, some character cut outs, and this badass poster.

That's pretty awesome @theJaw
I've got some more cool additions I need to take photos of. I'm also planning on ordering something like: https://www.amazon.c...
I figure it will help with some of those cool posing action shots, and I can photoshop in a backdrop later if I wanted. If you guys have any better suggestions, I'm all ears also - I'm planning on diving headlong into this action figure photography stuff

Thanks @Dasgessabel & @willyum, I do love that sorta stuff.
Das, that's a badass little fold out studio. Should definitely come in handy for some fig photography. One of these days I'm gonna snag something like that and actually give the photography aspect a go instead of just taking photos of crap laying on my bed haha
willyum, there's also a third Where's the Wookie book and then I think 2 general Star Wars Waldo-style books. I want them all, that art can just keep me occupied for hours honesty.

Ha ha, I always love these unlicensed figures with names like "The Last Survivor" with the Last of Us font.
I've seen then for all kinds of figures. The Mad Max Fury Road one is awesome looking too.

Yeah most of these unlicensed figures like that are of fantastic quality, though. I think the unlicensed part and slight name variations turns some people off (and probably the price), but Ellie is amazing. The cylinder on the revolver comes out and spins, there's a Taylor authentication sticker inside the guitar, the bow actually shoots, most of the diary pages are filled out with text from the game that you can actually read, etc. Very high quality

I've got some ThreeA 1:6 scale figures from Ashley Wood's line, and the detail is nuts. All the weapons and bags and holsters and ... everything is so detailed and operable. I've eyeballed a few of those "off-name" figures but the prices usually scare me away, but 1:6 scale is a whole other world. So good. So expensive.

That’s pretty great. I think I would have made Raph the wolf man though. He’s just that much of an butt-hole.
